Vespa riders joined a music video shoot!

Posted by JohnRana On March - 17 - 2007

logo_juanpablodream-sml.jpgManila’s Mod band — Juan Pablo Dream (JPD) — invited the local Vespa riders to the shooting of their fourth music video for the song “To The…” from their debut album, Soul Up!

The shoot was held last Sunday (March 11) along Macapagal Ave. There were about 20+ scoots which joined the shoot. That day, three scenes were shot. One with the band against a green wall for post-prod effects; the second is the scooter and Volkswagen convoy; and the last to be shot was a party scene.

Tell me about it Bag. Here in LA I wouldn’t dare riding my scooter without my full-face helmet. Granted, probably ride very slow over there, it’s still no excuse not to wear a helmet. Not to mention being so irresponsible as to ride without one on a much publicized ride.

You said it well, Enteng. There is no excuse in riding without a helmet. :)

In fact since most (if not all) of us are not used to riding without our helmets, our throats were so dry even before the shooting ended. Not exactly a very comfortable feeling. :(

Hi John, I didn’t know that the pics were from the shoot. That’s too bad that they had to sacrifice your safety by asking you not to wear helmets. (Although, I know that some of the people there weren’t too unfamiliar with not wearing a helmet, which you confirmed above.)

I read some of your articles and especially like the one where you rode to Baguio (not the overtaking part but I’m glad you’re OK. Sometimes we don’t learn unless we do stupid things first). My family and I used to go to Baguio every year when I was a kid. It was sort of our adopted province. I definitely would have loved to have ridden with you. The combination of a visit to Baguio and riding two wheels all the way…Wow! The only problem is I wouldn’t know where to put the walis.

It’s a video shoot guys, running at 10 kph or even less. Let’s give the boys some slack. Anyway those were nice pics, hope to see the completed video soon.
