NASBikes’ short trip to Bulacan

After a few months of being stagnant, NASBikes found its way to invigorate its strength.

NASBikes, short for National Association for Stock Bikes, is registered with SEC and just turned 1 year last May 2006. The team is committed to the beautification of their bikes without, in any form, changing its stock engine. NASBikes is headquartered in Project 4, QC. Most members own Honda XRMs and some others have Honda Waves, Yamaha X1s and some Suzukis.

It was a Saturday Morning. 18 NASBikes members found their way to Commonwealth Avenue, a place that they don’t traverse that often. They are going to the City of San Jose, del Monte in Bulacan to visit one of their founding members, Albert, to celebrate his birthday and house-blessing.

Dust, smoke, heavy rains. These are what NASBikes encountered on their way to the venue but nothing stopped them. They passed by Fairview, QC and I added to the pack when they reached Barangay Lagro. We had some challenges since the rain just finished pouring. The roads were slippery and some potholes were not visible since it was filled with rainwater. 1 bike actually tripped on a pothole but it was nice that nothing major happened. NASBikes continued their way to Bulacan. We passed by some 1-way roads in Pleasant Hills since the roads were being repaired. We also passed by Tungku, Grotto, and Grotto Vista but we reached our venue safely.

We got our tummies full right after the house blessing and got some rest for a short while. We proceeded to the village’s Clubhouse to accomplish one of our agenda. It was the welcoming of NASBikes – Bulacan. Albert was the appointed Chairperson who recruited, more or less, 30 persons though only a few showed up due to schedule constraints with work. We welcomed the new members, introduced ourselves, distributed some forms and made little chitchats. We went back to our hosts place to get a little more rest and to pack up.

We battled a long heavy rainpour on our way back to Project 4 but it was nothing that we could not handle.

Pictures and stories here.
