Motorcycle Philippines

This ride was planned middle of last year 2006, to break what was done before, three years ago by 12 members of Jet Riders Club Phils to Cebu City in the Visayas . This time to make a landmark in riding scooters around the country, using SYM scooters (GTS 250, Joyride 200, Shark 150) to reach downsouth Mindanao from Luzon and going back again to Manila by land and roro’s in 14 days, spearheaded by JRC Pres. Roel del Rosario. This ride was make possible thru the help and support of Mitsukoshi Phils. Inc. and Castrol Phils., to promote local tourism and scootering around the country. I’ll make this report short and sweet to make it easier to visualize this amazing ride.

April 21 Sat 2am
The Jet Riders Club Phils. took off from Pres. Roel del Rosario’s house in San Juan, Quezon City, with members Ivan and Anoy

• 5pm Traversing Laguna, Quezon, then the Bicol Region, the group reach Matnog pier after 15 hrs of gruelling ride.
• 6pm Embarked on the roro for Samar
• 9pm After 3hrs. reached Alen, Samar the group rest and spent the night in a hotel.

April 22 Sun

• 5am Took off from Alen, pass thru Catbalogan, Tacloban, riding thru the sea breeze to the Philippines longest bridge, the San Juanico Bridge. Stops at McArthur Park Leyte Landing in Leyte.
• 6pm Reached Liloan Pier
• 10pm Disembarked in Surigao del Norte, spent the night away.

April 23 Mon

• 6am Raining cat and dogs, proceeded to Siargao, Dapa island, the surfing capital of the Philippines. Spent 2 days.

April 25 Wed

• 6am Took off for Davao City
• 11am Reached Tagum City, had lunch with SYM representatives.
• 2pm Touchdown Davao City, after riding thru heavy rains.
• Spent the day and slept overnight to rest.

April 26 Thu

• 10am After breakfast, went to SYM Davao City for a courtesy
  call. Had lunch with SYM managers, sales representatives
• 3pm Went to Eden Garden, one of the famous park in Davao.

April 27 Fri

• 6am The group proceeded to Samal island via roro, famous for its batcaves, waterfalls, minizoo, and pure whitesand beach (Paradise Island), and spent there the whole day.

April 28 Sat

• 6am Took off from Davao City to Gen. Santos City. Went to Pacquiao’s house to have some picture taking, with the permission of Pacquiao’s wife.
  Spent the day there and slept at the Sydney Hotel in Gensan.

April 29 Sun

• 6am From Gensan, the group went to Sarangani Capitol Building to have pictures taken.
• 10am Went back to Davao City, stayed there for another night.

April 30 Mon

• 6am Burning rubbers on the roads of South Cotabato, North Cotabato,Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental the whole day with some stops.Took roro for Ozamis City, pass thru Dapitan City and spent the night in Dapitan pier.

May 1 Tue

• 6am Roro from Dapitan for Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental
• 9am Reached Dumaguete City pass thru bacolod City
• 3pm Took roro for Iloilo
• 7pm Arrived in Iloilo City, spent overnight

May 2 Wed

• 6am From Iloilo, the group pass thru Capiz and proceeded to Aklan in Caticlan pier. From Caticlan to Boracay, and stayed there for 2 days.

May 4 Fri

• 6am From Aklan back from Boracay, took roro for Roxas Mindoro to Calapan
• 7pm Reached Batangas Pier, pass thru Tagaytay then Manila…at last back home..
