CMCI seldom get enough free time to enjoy weekend rides with my buddies because my work shifts vary, my days off vary as well as time spent for my clinic and family. So when my leaves for Saturday-Monday were approved, I decided to treat my wife to a helluva ride - short ride.

We left 7:45pm Friday night for Tagaytay. An earlier sms from CMC President Bugoi said he’ll gather some riders and meet us for a midnight run. We (Hazel and I) arrived with no incident at Mahogany to have dinner around 8:30pm. We ate caldereta, gotobats, tawilis and tokwa’t baboy. Then we proceeded to Starbucks for dessert and coffee, she had a mocha frap tallest glass and I had a large brewed together we gobbled on a piece of belgian waffle topped with mocha syrup and whipped cream. Around 10:30pm, we decided to scout for places to spend the night and ended up in Jade Inn, a few hundred feet from the Rotonda to the left going to People’s park. An ordinary single room w/ toilet and bath and electric fan costs about 800 there. Discounts available if you check in really late and leave early before 12nn check out time. After a quick shower (cold!) and watching cable tv, yes may tv ang room and cable pa…Pres. Bugoi sent another sms - where are you? I found out nasa Shell sila past mushroom burger and told them to wait for me…mga 12:30am na Saturday morning. So I geared up, forgot my gloves and in 5 minutes or less I think I was there at Shell. I met up with Eagle1, Budz, Bullseye and Tru1209 and we were having a great time discussing and sharing stories.

Around 1:30am, Bugoi asked to see the place we were billeted so we rode there, asked some rates, scouted briefly other venues while on our bikes and went for a really quick run up People’s Park in the Sky…which was unfortunately closed coz they open at 7AM. So we detoured and rode back down, I went back to our room and they went to View Site for some karaoke and nightcap…(to be filled by Maam Flor - tru1209)

I woke up around 5:45AM took a shower and found out via sms that Sir Bugoi, Bullseye / Tru1209 and Budz stayed the night at one of the Kubo’s in Viewsite while Eagle1 waited for dawn to ride back home for some urgent business. Hazel and I arrived at Viewsite before 7AM. We shared more stories of how they enjoyed the wee hours of the morning with little or no sleep due to the cold atmosphere and decided to go to Nasugbu after a quick breakfast in Mushroom Burger.

We left mushroom burger around 8:45 and arrived 9:45AM Saturday at Kainan sa Dalampasigan in Nasugbu - a biker friendly establishment. Their lush gardens, falls/fountains, grotto’s and hanging vines, not to mention the grand dining hall, astounded all of us! We were dying to try out their specialties but the Tanigue was not available at the time we ordered and arrived late. So we had a sampler bilao of inihaw, baked tahong, dalampasigan soup (shrimp and veggies), frozen sago’t gulaman served around 11:30am and dug in. The rest time was prior to lunch coz we arrived before 10AM and had lunch served 11:30am. Again more reminiscing of old times, rides, adventures and misadventures and plans for another extreme ride was shared by all.

We left shortly after lunch, all exausted, mostly due to lack of sleep - I slept only for 3 hours that time…some none at all and went to ride back to Tagaytay to check out Nature Spa…our spearhead - Budz really knows the way - way to go “Don Alfonso”. We arrived there an hour later, since Nasugbu was a little over 30kms from Tagaytay, and had a quick break, yosi break for me and Budz while the others checked out the rates and amenities of this luxurious SPA. After several minutes, we saddled up again and tiredly, but extremely content after the meal at Dalampasigan, rode home.

We separated after Dasma, and the other’s planned to visit Jon Carlos. I arrived home before 3pm to eagerly upload the pics of the ride.
