SRC: “THE RETURN” to MT. DATA – A SEANGREEN RIDE

SRC Mr. Data The Return

May 26 ~ 27
Forty-seven (47) days after the Northern Luzon ride, the group decided to ride again. This ride was dedicated to our balikbayan ride buddy Seangreen.

It has been 7 months since the group visited Mt. data. This time, a total of 21 riders will conquer the mountain province.

Most of the riders have been to Mt. Data last year and some of us are first timers.

The group met in Valenzuela at 3AM Saturday and started our journey.

We regroup at Hacienda Luisita at around 6:30 am for breakfast and refreshments then headed to Rosario before we went to Baguio via Marcos Highway.

Arrived at Baguio past 12 noon, met with the BSRC group and had lunch at Marosan’s courtesy of our balikbayan friend Seangreen. The group enjoyed the hot soup, and the generous servings of the foods ordered.

While having and enjoying our lunch, there was a heavy downpour and the group knew right then and there that this will now be a wet n wild ride and we can’t take the condition for granted, meaning no playing today on the twisties going up to Mt. Data.

At around 2:30 pm we hit the road after some of the riders filled their fuel tanks to prepare for the journey to our destination. Despite the fog, the cold, the mud, the rain and the slippery roads going to Mt. Data, each SCRean watched out each other and assured that everyone is in sight and safe. (See the pictures below)

Mt. Data Ride, The Return

This is one of the traits of the group that we appreciated and loved most. We took care and watch each other no matter what the conditions are and it goes by our saying, “sa SRC walang iwanan”

We arrived at Mt. Data hotel at around 6pm. Tired and cold, we checked-in and got ourselves a hot shower. After this we all gathered around the fire place of the hotel for some chat and ordered food this time courtesy of the birthday boy wasted_23.

After dinner some continued to chat with some riders but most of us headed back in our rooms for some good night sleep. We woke up the following morning at around 5 am or 6 am to check our bikes, some pictorials were made with our backrides and views of the place. We had our breakfast at around 7:00 am and packed-up signal was given after.

We took off at around 9:30 am, Sunday and rode until highest point to regroup. It was a wonderful weather this time since there was no rain. We had dry roads up until saddle restaurant, so you guys reading should be able to figure out what we did on that long, dry and zigzag road. hehe

Arrived at Shell Bamban Tarlac for rest and bid everyone farewell as the bigbikers will take NLEX on their way home and scooteristas will take McArthur highway. We arrived at Manila/home between 10pm to 11pm.

This has been one of the most challenging rides we’ve ever experienced because of the weather condition like of zero visibility due to fog and the heavy downpour while traversing the Mt. province road.

Thanks God for His guidance for our safe trip back home.
