Underbone Grand Prix Rules Update
27
July

NAMSSA has provided the NRA with the current international race rules for underbone motorcycles used in the RACE of NATIONS, recently held in Malaysia. To be in harmony with international standards the NRA will implement this change.
We will increase of the carburetor diameter size allowed for the Underbone Grand Prix (National class), from 24mm to 28mm.
The technical justification was that on high speed tracks, the 24mm under carbureted the 130cc engines, hence the new 28mm standard.
Implementation will be in Round 2 of the Motorcycle Grand Prix, along with a reduced race distance. The distance will be reduced from 45kms. to 35kms. to ensure the completion of the race by all participants. After the 2nd round, we will increase the race distance by another 5kms. until we can safely say that all participants can finish a race.
Round 1 of the MGP will go on as scheduled on July 30, 2006, Sunday, at the Batangas Racing Circuit. We hope to see you there to enjoy motorcycle racing at its finest.
