NRA Wraps Up the 2006 Race Season

The National Racing Association (NRA) w will wrap-up its 2006 Motorcycle Grand Prix (MGP) season on December 10, 2006, Sunday, at the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC).
The last round, which was previously announced to take place on November 26, 2006, also at BRC, was postponed, due to the unavailability of a timing system (transponder) operator for that day. This was relayed formally in writing to the NRA by Mr. Rodini Rivera, Operations Chief of BRC.
The races on Dec. 10, 2006 will start promptly at 8:00 am. The following schedule will be applied:

| 11:30 am to 12:00 pm | Super 110 |
| 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm | Maxi Mod (double points) |
| 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm | 400 Unlimited (double points) |
| 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm | Super 125 (double points) |
| 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm | UGP (double points) |
| 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm | BREAK |
| 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm | 110 GP (double points) |
| 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm | Super 110 (double points) |
As made known to the manufacturers and the riders since September of this year, the last round of the MGP will now be employing race transponders. In line with this welcome development, an entry will pay the standard registration fee of Php1,800, and only Php700 for the transponder. Standard transponder rental per entry is Php1,500.
Regulations for the Dec.10 races will be the ff:
1. Participants racing twice in the same category (UGP, 110GP, Maxi Mod, 400 Unlimited and Super 125) will only be paying for one (1) race. It will be a “buy one, take one” scheme.
2. Participants in the Super 110 class who have previously raced in the first two rounds (July 30, 2006 and August 20. 2006) will race for free. However, they have to pay for their third race of the day. Any rider who did not participate in the previous rounds must pay for the day’s entry. Points for this category will begin from zero. First two Super 110 races of the day will have standard points, while the last race of the day will have double points.
(Note: Regulations #1 and #2 will only be applied to the same race class. It will not and cannot be applied to two different race classes.)
3. Cash prizes for the day will be split.
Pre-registration is encouraged at the NRA office at 45 Big Horseshoe Drive, Horseshoe Village, Q.C. (at the back of the Nestle Ice Cream plant) due to the number of races to be run throughout the day.
