Trouble brewing in Motocross

Stemming from an incident in the Bauang Motocross race held last April 28, 2006, Mr. Stephan ‘Macky’ Carapiet, Managing Director of NAMSSA Philippines posted the results of NAMSSA’s hearing. A portion of the results state….
The NAMSSA has conducted a hearing on your incident during the Bauang Motocross race held last April 28, 2006. It was explained that you and your son Nonoy Abraham and your team members of the Tugegarao racing team (et all of 5 pax), assaulted our lone Jury Member and highest event official during the event.
A hearing was to have been scheduled on the 29th with an invitation to the accused to explain their side. We have no information as of the moment as to what transpired in that said hearing, if the hearing happened at all.
We hope this conflict finds a quick resolution.

It is really regrettable. The guys from Tueguegarao should have contained their tempers even if they felt there was apparent partiality on a decision of the NAMSSA officer.
This is not the first time similar incidents like this happened under the present NAMSSA administration. And, I would say that this will not be the last.
I would still say that this boils down to the failure of NAMSSA under Macky Carapiet to execise diligence and professionality.
As a father of a motocross rider, I have observed that there is structural and organizational failure in NAMSSA.
NAMSSA is a duly registered corporation with the SEC. But its real corporate name is National Motorcycle Safety Association (NMSA) without the “SPORTS”, as they proclaim. This is fraudulent.
Macky, et al. were not elected officers of NAMSSA. They are just usurping the position.
NAMSSA has no active board members, except for Carapiet et.al., ergo, no board meetings, no elections of officers and no board resolutions or policies.
And in our investigation with the SEC, NAMSSA permit was previously revoked and just recently given temporary reprieve after paying some penalties.
Very poor relations with other national organizations, in the last Bike Convention in Laoag City, NAMSSA did not even bother to send a representative.
So to all NAMSSA members, I am announcing that I have talked with SEC officials and requested a special board meeting, election and accounting of all NAMSSA asset and financial statement.
I will be sending notices to you and proxy forms for the election. You might as well send your intention to run for positions.
For your information, there are 5 Board of Trustees positions. also 1 President, 1 Vice president, 1 Secretary, 1 Treasurer and 1 Exectuive Director Positions.
And if NAMSSA will not be able to account for all the donations, moneys, revenues it has generated in the past years, I will be filing Estafa/Malversation of Funds criminal and administrative cases with the proper courts of law.
Hoping for your support for the love of Motocross.
