Sunday Ride to the Orphanage

A group of intrepid riders from the Ateneo and some misfits from the towns along SLEX braved the rains last Sunday to visit the Carmelite convent in Lipa City and offer a token financial contribution to the sisters. They then proceeded to Tagaytay via Midlands/Highlands to visit the Little Angels Orphanage and give a little joy and support to the kids in terms of food, clothing, diapers and some money. Overall it was truly a blessed day, with the intermittent rains and ever-present fog welcoming them in Tagaytay making it an even more beautiful and enriching experience.

Thank you kind sirs. We do realize that now. Helping others make our love for riding more meaningful.

You will notice Sr. Celine in the video who heads the Carmelite Church in Lipa. We were also very fortunate to have seen and interacted with the visionary of the Shower of Roses (which caused quite a stir in the 50's), Sr. Teresing (the lady with glasses, right after Sr. Celine's picture).

Only 14 of the original 40 riders actually made the trip to the church and the orphanage because of the rains.

Your report and video leave a little tear in my eyes. Well done and God bless you all.

I really miss all my riding mates in the Philippines. I am returning!

Doc Vmax,
Adding another feather in the caps of AMDG and ROSES riders...True example of real group....As I mentioned in the other forum.."REAL MEN PRAY & SHARE", I think this is the best description of the group. Brave enough to go on with the pilgrimage and donation to orphanage at times of heavy downpour. It is not just a simple ride but really meaningful and blessed journey. Keep it up!!! God Bless.

Incredibly great video indeed Doc. Geez, it definitely hits the soft spot over and over, lost for words again...
Congratulations again to Bossing and to the rest of AMDG & Brotherhood Of The Rose for all the noble and tireless efforts in making this activity great success..

Thank you so much for all the kind words and accolades sirs, but my group would like to put this little event behind us and translate it into something more meaningful.

We would be happy, nay ecstatic, if we could find it within our hearts to talk it over among ourselves (in our own MC clubs) and engage in a project(or projects) that would help others in need. We are certain some, if not many of us are into it already, but it would be really, really nice if there would be more.

Let us all do more good things.. AMDGs, ROSES, and whoever else are in these fora. Here's a chance to PAY IT FORWARD..
