Do you wear ear plugs?

Just wanted to get an idea of how many actually wear ear plugs. I use disposable foam ones that conform and expand to the inside of the ear. They eliminate the annoying wind noise when riding at high speeds. They do not mute out essential noises like vehicles coming up from behind, horns and sirens.

I have gotten so used to wearing ear plugs that I use them everytime... doesn't matter what helmet I use. I feel long term effects of out weigh the inconvenience... besides you get used to the feeling of something in your ears.

i do.. bought 2 pairs of them, those that can be bought in ACE hardware or handyman we might ignore the wind's sound as we cruise along the roads but they do produce enough decibels to affect our hearing in the later days.

Probably should wear them but then I'd miss out on the incredible crackle of 1450 cc on the over-run as I shift up to 4th through a pair of Vance & Hines Straight Shots open pipes, guaranteed to wake up dozy cagers.............

Wearing Ear plugs has its advantages. It is more comfortable and less noise. I only learned about this during my last few Bicol rides.

i get mine from gun shops. the plastic ones are more durable and lasting than foam plugs but are also more expensive.

I'd like to but I preferred not.

first times really hard, that's why there's "getting used to it".

ride safe y'all.

where

apat na taon na akong may ear plugs pag nasa motor. sa umpisa medyo alanganin pero pag nasanay na, okay naman. in fact, i cannot ride anymore without ear plugs kasi sobrang ingay ng kapaligiran pag wala. i noticed that plugs soften sharp noises, yung bang ingay na nakakarindi tulad ng busina and, yes, loud pipes tulad ng nasa bike ko. pero hindi nababawasan ang awareness ko to the point na delikado. it really is a combination of the two senses, sight and hearing, that work together for a safe ride.

I never appreciated the use of earplugs, until I watched F1. But seriously I'll try asking one from the airline I'll be flying with or I'll be buying one nang masubukan...

I still wear earplugs (disposable). It doesnt really eliminate the sound which is good. Sa firing range we use double hearing protection (ear plugs and muffs).
My ex use to nag me kaya i wear them and she doesnt know.

Ear plugs sa ride? no...i want to enjoy some engine music (-:

I've got a Sony noise-cancelling ear-buds that I use to play my mp3. I'm planning to use it during a ride to and from work but I'm reluctant. The plugs might eliminate even the 'necessary' noises like a horn from the vehicle behind me...
