Day 1, Friday, April 28
Thanks for the greeting Jomed. I hope you rode with us too.
The BAGWIS met up at Caltex Buendia at 2:30am. We took off at 3:15am and entered NLEX by 3:50am. We had to do a short stop at Petron station in NLEX coz I had to re-brief the group specially the guest riders to how to understand hand signals and instructions to have a better and rider "understandable" riding. We exited Mabalacat toll gate at 4:50am. The next stop due was for gas and breakfast was in Carmen, Pangasinan. Along the way we saw steelhorse, kaskasero, angkasera, tat and their other friend. It was great seeing familiar faces on the road. Arrived at Carmen at 6:20am. Gassed up and took breakfast together with steelhorses group. Club 200 was also gassing up in the area. We had to settle for chowking coz Jollibee and Mc Donalds were closed and opens up at 7am. After breakfast the group asked me where the next stop would be? I told them at Caltex in Rosario, La Union. They wondered why and said that Rosario was'nt to far ahead. This is where experience is always the best teacher.....I told them before reaching Rosario, most of us will be wanting for a stop over coz of an overfilled gall bladder or sleepiness...... Hehehehe was I was right!!! Caltex Rosario was finally in our sight, time to make a stopover Pix 1 - the BAGWIS and guest riders at Caltex, Rosario

While resting at Caltex in Rosario, La Union. Many riders friends passed by some would stop while others go ahead. Suddenly I saw two more familiar biker friends Jodie and Jim who rode with another group. Jodie was with his CBR 900 RR while Jim used his 750 Magna. Nice seeing you guys.
Soon we were off to Vigan, 3 groups left the station almost at the same time (BAGWIS, steelhorse's and jodie's). At Balaoan, Ilocos Sur, we were flag down by a police because a biker had a problem with his bike.... when I stopped i learned that the biker was Jodie. DUDE, it was your lucky day!!! , because of all the biker group to pass and get flag down, it was coincidentially the BAGWIS.Jodie's bike had some chain problem wherein the chain lock broke. I called all friend in Vigan and Laoag to check for chain lock availability..... unfortunately..... Manila is still the place to go. Luckily, we tried something out that looks like would work. The kuliglig's internal tranny chain has a chain lock similar to a 525 chain. It worked! but we don't know if it will last (but i learned he was able to got to Vigan, Laoag and back to Manila). Off to Vigan! We were all hungry already. My friends at Vigan had prepared a very heavy lunch for my group of hungry riders. We arrived at Vigan for a late lunch and went to the house prepared. Time to rest. Pix 1 - the group at Narvacan Pix 2 - The house in Vigan pix 3 - BAGWIS in Vigan Pix 4 - BAGWIS in Vigan

Day 2, Sat, April 29 - Ride to Laoag
The next day was a very short run to Laoag compared to the Day 1's ride distance, we took our precious time easy. Breakfast at the house, cleaning the bikes and chit chatting with the group of girls on vacation boarding on the 2nd floor. My, my, my these ladies are auditors from Jaoquin Cunanan. Nice meeting you girls!
We droppby the plaza for some photo ops. And guess who I saw....... It was Tito Ed Pascual, aka Flat Eddie, Fast Eddie Hehehehe. when he learned that we were going to Laoag, he asked if he can tag along. I said sure! Lets Ride.We gassed up and left for Laoag. Great pacing soon we were there. Laoag from Vigan was only labout 85kms. We took lunch at SANSU's Chinese restaurant and checked in at Paradise. The group rested in preparation for the NIGHT OUT at B1!!!!!

Time in Laoag
Herc
I'm glad to see that you had another good time in Laoag. With all of the riders there is there anything left in B-1 for the rest of us when we get back there Sorry I missed all of the FUN but I didn't have a real choice of when I returned this year. Immigrations controls that You will all have to return to visit us next year for our 5th annual Bike Weekend.I'm still looking for more picks of the convention and rides so that I can at least have a feeling of my having been there with everyone. Maybe we can meet up on my next trip home. I usually spent a few days in Makati when I arrive and leave Take care Herc and be safe riding.

Day 3, Sunday April 3 - "Seperate the MEN from the BOYS"s
After a long Saturday afternoon till night at Laoag and having so much fun....... it was time to separate the men from the boys!!!
Some riders had to go home the same route going there, while the rest, where in for an adventure 8 riders woke up early that Sunday morning and took off at 6am. Boylit tagged along to meet uop with the Force A at Pagudpud. Edrenaline started pumping as the rode terrain became technical as the twisties were more visible than the first part of the trip. Some photo ops along the way like in Pagudpod and Patapat. Pix 1 - Scorpio and Jellie Pix 2 - Nonong and Jun Pix 3 - Gary and Mayor

After Patapat bridge photo ops the group was on the road again. Twisties was more abundant, mountain and the sea views all around. It was time to gas up when we reached the town of Claveria. I checked all riders how they were up to it, and so far so good. "Take off in 2 minutes"!!! was the favorite line to be heard.....
After Claveria was long straight stretches! These time the sportsbikes of the group were leading the pack way ahead. We opened our throttle max, red lining every gear . Man, that was long alright. When we reached the town of Sanches Mira,...... uh oh!..... there was a steel barricades and policemen with M-16 stopping us! What is this? Oh, Sh!t, I said to myself..... another delay! When we stopped and dismounted our bikes it was ROGER YU of HD Riders with the Mayor & wife of SANCHES MIRA. They were offering Buko juice and suman delicaies for merienda. When the group completely ....... fireworks like kwitis and Sawa were lighted up. WOW!!! this was a great welcome! We were all suprised!!! THANK YOU very much for the breather! MABUHAY KAYO!!!! Pix 1 - far left was the first lady of Sanches Mira, in the middle was Roger Yu of HD Riders, beside him was the Mayor of Sanches Mira himself.

It was 11:30am when we stopped for gasoline at the town of Gattaran where the "Hanging bridge" is located. One of the members of the BAGWIS, Zenith, is from TUAO, Cagayan and has prepared a "Fiesta like" lunch for the group. We zipped thru the 125kms to TUAO from Gattaran swiftly in time for late lunch by 1:20pm. We were pampered like kings, the Menu of the day was:
1. Enchiladang talong 2. grilled sili 3. Fried Biya 4. Papaitan 5. Sinampalukang Kambing 6. Dinuguan 7. Pinakbet 8. Pork adobo 9. Beef Kaldereta 10. Sinigang na isda 11. Kilawing kambing 12. Rice 13. Buko salad 14. Drinks Wow, with that so much food we had to take a long break to digest them. It was 4:30pm when the group took off for Santiago city. It was time to de carbonize our bike's engine once again at the 152kms straights from Tuao to Santiago City passing thru the "Marlboro Country". That's what they call the route from Tugegarao to Santiago City passing through a vast view of hills and mountains with never ending straights. Pix 1, 2 & 3 - pix all taken at the "Marlboro Country"

We decided to spend the night at Santiago City, for safety reasons. Riding at night in unfamilar terrain can be dangerous. And it will definitely be enjoyable to ride the route in daytime.
Next day the group took off at 5:15am and headed to GAPAN to attend the town fiesta. Pix 1 & 2 - taken at take off point in Santiago City at 5:15am
