A life... how much???

Do you know how much is your life worth for these bus companies?

For these basta**ds you only worth a measly 20,000 to 50,000 or depending on your relative's bargaining power. And what would happen to the reckless sonofabitch driver? Chances are, if they have the opportunity (which they often have), these maniacs just run and hide for few days and resurfaces only when their company has already settled amicably (kamot ulo lang). Sitting behind the steering wheel again as if nothing had happened and worst waiting to score again for another rampage.

So what really happened? The laxity in giving professional licenses coupled by bus/trucking/taxis company hiring drivers with murderous tendencies (with the intention of wag iiwang buhay) worsened by the fact, that our snailpaced justice system favors amicable settlement rather than truly seeing justice delivered. What would you expect?

If only we have the means to rally against these injustices, one could only hope that the last life taken could be the first chance for us to be truly united in seeking justice and to show all that it pays a lot more than just a couple of thousands pesos for justice to be served.

The dead would be buried and the grief would take time, but what about justice? I hope it would not be buried with him.

As we do, our buddy Ariel worth more than anything to his father, worth more than anything to his kid. I hope his lost would be the last.

May he rest in peace.

REMEMBER ARIEL...

Yes I talked to Bobot yesterday and he told me that the insurer of the bus company has already started to call him. I told him that to settle with the bus company amicably is one matter, nonetheless, criminal charges must be filed against the driver. We have adequate laws, however, the problem is, without sounding like a broken record, is its implementation. Bus operators bribe law enforcement and at the same time take advantage of the financial difficulties of the victim's families.

A lawyer should be retained to assist Ariel's family to make sure they are adequately compensated and justice is served. I know a lawyer/rider who might be willing to do this. A fund could be set up to raise his retainer.

Sir actually this is not the first time, Remember Vince Corporal's case 2 months ago? Last time that i've heard with his father, the bus company offer them 50,000 pesos to close the case but i advice him not to accept it, I don't know what happen now with the case, maybe next week i will talk again with his father and i think his father need our assistance.

Imagine the life of his son cost only 50K, mas mahal pa ang motor kaysa rider... tsk.. tsk... tsk...

Hopefully this is the beginning to show them that we are united...

JUSTICE

FOR

ARIEL AND VINCE

P50k lang?!!! So that's why they prefer killing the people they accidentally run over instead of letting him/her live and pay for all the expenses of hospitalization, etc....

Jumbing...

a lawyer/biker? Certainly, it would be a big help, not only that he's a lawyer but a biker too. We need those kind of people who can truly walk our shoes so to speak and sees our perspective. Sana mapakausap mo sa pamilya nila. Retainer fee is another question but if ever may papayag na Lawyer na pro-bono or pagkatapos ipanalo at nakakuha ng danyos perwisyo e saka babayaran mas ok sana. Sa tingin mo papayag kaya yun?

Cyber...

Pre you are right! REMEMBER VINCE, ARIEL and all those other victims who do not have the chance to defend thier lives and rights.

Tat...

Yes bro! tama sya 50K for a life. Sad but true d ba?

May we all join in a solemn motorcade for Ariel to show our indignation to what happened to both Ariel, Vince and many others like them? Can this be a start to galvanize ourselves into a more vocal group? I would. But I would also need your support in this endeavor. again, with the permission of the family's involved.

If not during the funeraL procession... then perhaps a solemn motorcade rally, on an arranged date, to the halls itself of congress or the senate to air our grievances and voice our rights.

JUSTICE FOR ARIEL, VINCE AND ALL THOSE BEFORE THEM WHO SUFFERED A SIMILAR, TRAGIC AND SENSELESS DEATH.

Nevertheless... re Ariel's internment:

I will be there. If anybody cares to join me... that would be fine too. To show my indignation at the way Ariel's life (and Vince, and many others) was violently taken, I will have black ribbons on my side mirrors. You may wish to do so too to show your indignation and support.

Good day to all. God rest his soul.

I hope everybody would agree, I prefer to join on the ride to congress to press our rights, wag na natin tigilan to, hindi lang basta tanggalin yung ban sa tollways, but to fight for our right to a safe ride in everyday of our lives... let's start these black ribbon campaigns not only for ariel and vince and others but for ourselves as well... siguro naman pag nakita ng iba na marami na ang meron they will try to appreciate the cause...

P20K to P50K, thats it... thats all. That's why it is a "Standard Operating Procedure" to make sure person is dead rather than paying for hospital bills and some disability claims. This is bad...

Drivers sketch

So, just in case na makita natin yung driver- maipapakulong natin siya.

baka me target qouta yung driver(in case it's a bus) sa boundary, minsan kung kapos pa yung kita nya, kahit pagod, pipilitin pa ring magmaneho...(naalala nyo years back yung balitang mga drivers na nag babato para lang di antukin habang nagmamaneho)

-about naman dun sa driver...there are other ways to skin a cat....

Well guys we need to be united for this matter. Because life is involve and I think it needs all members of MCP attention. Not to mention,, -- what if one day that incedent happend to us, or our friends? Our comments are well good on what happened but seriously needs everyone to participate, not only by saying f_ck/b_tch to the bus company / driver - making an advance move for all of us

My suggestions:
*We must have a legal/attorney for our side and getting a legal advice would needs fund.
*What if we will rise an organization and our donations/fixed contribution are needed - that organization must be registered to the Securities and Exchange Comission.
*Maybe 300 up to 1000 donations/fixed contribution can do so. :-)
*The fund can be used for legal or contribution SARANAY sa ilocano for victims

Guys any comments? Im willing to pay my Php1,000 for this. Thanks

Good Idea. The picture of the killer bus driver (or a sketch) and some info about him should be posted here. Aside from helping to capture him, at the very least we could make this guy notorious.

for me............ an eye for an eye............a life for a life............

dats my opinion only...

maybe dat will be d last hope for us bikers to be respected by other road users.....

I hope justice will be serve for our fellow bikers.....

Agree to an eye for an eye- i-tsugi ang driver at operator. Wait for some time so they will not associate it with any motorcycle incident. Maybe when 30 - 50 drivers have been killed, they and the government will sit up and listen. A silenced .22 should do the trick - we won't even have to ride our motorcycle. Ride their buses and wait for the right time. Better still, do what the NPA do - burn their buses and kill their drivers.

just a thought...

how about the insurance companies ???

plus burial assistance(more or less 20,000.00)
tapos ang sasabihin ng insurance at operator

"paano, wala tayong magawa, aksidente eh"

a life is hind ma replace kahit magkano pa yan.......

dapat kc lahat ng road users will show/give respect to fellow road users.

just my humble opinion.
