Christian, I have an '87 SRX.

The Yamy SRX is an old-school naked thumper: 1-cylinder, 4-stroke bike. It has a 400CC engine, with 4 valves, and 2 exhaust ports.

Other technical stuffs on the bike: front double disc brakes, one at the rear; kick start; no compartment under the seat; runs at about 140kph when in good condition; very good low to midrange power; 5-speed gearbox. Some considers this as a cafe racer, but I highly disagree.

I have been using my thumper for more than a year already, and I am very satisfied with this old, but highly reliable bike. It never failed me when I am on the road. Very good mileage at about 25 to 30 kms per liter in the city.

The '91 version has a more sporty profile -- forward-riding style, with a bigger rear tyre, monoshock suspension. It now has electronic ignition, and the kick start have been removed. I heard good reviews about the bike, unfortunately, it performs almost the same as the '87 version, primarily because they almost have identical engines.

I plan to sell mine at only 42K, if you are interested that is.
