yup the HJC CL 14 is the one with the removable/replacable cheekpads.

The store in taft is JT bikes along taft avenue. Turn right to taft from Quirino Ave. (if you're coming from nagtahan) and JT Bikes is a few meters away. The price is 4000 and i think they accept credit cards too.

the smoked shield of the hjc cl14 costs 1000.
it really is a big help, saving enough money to buy the smoked one.

Are HJC shields One-way tinted or black smoked? What colors are available?

Something to consider...

FYI according to the HJC website

http://www.hjchelmets.com/website_h...t_full.face.htm

the CL-14 is not DOT & Snell approved. It's merely described as having "DOT and SNELL M2000 approved advanced thermoplastic resin."

I beg to disagree: http://www.smf.org/certlist/std_M2000.html#H

The CL-14 is both SNELL M2000 and DOT approved. Thought I'd clear that up.

The DOAT and SNELL appsoved version has the double D-ring helmet strap.

Very few quick release helmet snaps do not pass SNELL approval

From what I gathered, SNELL states that quick-release buckles can be used as long as they do not get released inadvertently while in use. The CL-14 uses quick-release retention systems similar to automobile seat belts. The release button is designed to be fool-proof as it must be pressed hard and deep enough to release the straps.

And let us not forget the all time favorite HJC helmet among forum users: CL-12. It uses the quick retention system but it was also SNELL approved

(Snell M95 standard at the time)

The CL-12 being sold now are M2000 certified.
