rain riding boots

Hi guys,

Rainy weather is really here.... All weather rider ako..I already have rain pants and jacket (I bought this at Exceed Caloocan P750) okay naman, High collar and soft pa ang plastic. The stiches are also parang laminated. So this keeps me realonably dry.

My only problem now is the shoes. I was looking at some rubber boots (pang baha) at handyman and masyado mataba yung leg area...i think it might affect movement. i was thinking of the boots na ginagamit ng mga motorcycle police..(hagad).

Does any one know saan nabibili ito and how much it is...

Thanks guys...

Kung gusto mo ng kagaya ng pang TMG, might ask dun sa mga stalls near Camp Crame. Usually, made to order ang mga ito kasi susukatin pa nila ang size ng feet mo at binti.

EloElo,

I once asked a motorcycle policemen where they get their shoes made he mentioned some stalls in leveriza. He said the boots cost approx. 2,000 cuz it is custom fit even the legs n calves are measured. However, I didnt pursue this yet because according to the guy these boots are not waterproof.....

why dont you guys try real bike boots. i use a gaerne tempest. it is not waterproof but it is water resistant. it is good enough for the strongest rainstorm. you're not gonna wade in water pools anyway. if you want a totally waterproof boots, they have gaerne assen aquatech. i use mine even with ordinary street clothes and they would pass on as ordinary shoes under your pants.

The tempest is 4,200 at dreambikes. It's italian. It's worth the price. The Assen Aquatech is around 6,+++ but you can ask for a discount. I think Caloocan Sales has them too but a bit pricecd higher.

Here is a pic of the gaerne tempest.

Those are real niiiiiccce bike boots you have, littlebadboy!
But a bit way out of my budget. Read on another thread about Totes brand wet apparels. An Over-Boot type that you can slip over your shoes. I asked Triumph JT Marketing at west and it's around Php1200. But if I had money to splurge I'd go for real bike boots! Still looking for now.

Snake1...am using a Sidi Strada, it says that it is water repellant but I've used it a couple of times under pouring rain and my feet remained dry and comfy. I wouldn't suggest you dip a foot with more that 4inches of water because I think the water would seep past through the velcro flap and the zipper.

Ako naman, manggagaling sa Buendia LRT. I'm looking at a met mla map right now. Mahaba pala yung stretch ng Leon Guinto Sr. St.. It's the street parallel Taft ave, right? Where is it exactly? Kasi from the map, yung haba nya covers 3 LRT Stations: Vito Cruz, Quirino and Pedro Gil. It ends at Padre Faura. Help naman, the_Nong!

tmthy,
correct. anyway, from roxas, turn right to quirino. after taft, turn right at the next intersection, leon guinto. go straight, we are on the right, around 10 houses siguro.. from LRT buendia, go straight taft, after estrada st. (street after vito cruz) turn right on the next street before the shell gas station. turn left and go straight, after kanumayan go slow, we are on the left side. from manila city hall, go at the back of SM(san marcelino), just go staight all the way, pagtawid ng quirino kasi dead end, on that dead end street, turn right and on the first intersection, turn left, we are on the right.. whew! ingat nalang..

GODSPEED!!!

guys,

more tip... 2 way yung Leon guinto.

".. .. .. pagtawid ng quirino kasi dead end, on that dead end street, turn right and on the first intersection, turn left, we are on the right.. whew! ingat nalang.. .. .."

if your familiar with the pope's residence during his visit (PAPAL Nuncio) that's in TAFT Avenue, at the back of that residence is Leon Guinto, hindi na malayo yung 2211 works don.. ..

sa right side sila, if u see a SANMIG sign board, malapit na sila don... don't expect too much from their signboard, ginapangan nang vines ata yon! :8

the_nong,

nakarating na ko dyan mga 830pm, bukas paba kayo non?
ano ba shop hours nyo? thanks!

from buendia right:

along taft avenue (direction:to MLA City Hall)
take a right turn at San Andres, the street fronting MCDO.
go straight on the next street, tou'll see GOODIES Pares, take a right turn on that corner.. .. you'll see 2211 at the right side about 3 houses after SANMIG signboard..

hope this helps!
