Dont Drink and Drive!!!

Cant help but post here. A friend has already aired his concern. Been riding for six or seven years now. And have ridden countless kinds of bikes and been to different bike gatherings. And in all of those i can proudly say i have avoided taking in alcoholic drinks. But recently i had the mistake of downing a shot out of “kahiyaan”. And in that one shot i recalled friends who have taken a fall because of the silly and fatal mistake of drinking and riding. And with that i declined the next shots and drank three tumblers of water to sober up and a cup of coffee. The thought that if may have to take a fall and lose money for my medical bills was scary enough for me. Money that could have been used to help out with the house expenses thrown away just because “nahihiya “ ako sa nagtagay at kasama ko sa gimik. Wrecking because i was drunk is one experience that i’ll never wana go through. I have already seen and heard countless stories of this. No point in trying it out myself.


We are here at this forum with our individual biases, opinions and reasoning. but i truly believe that opinions do not cancel out the greater truth. The truth that driving while under the influence is a mistake. Riding a motorcycle sober is already dangerous as it is, then you add alcohol. Do the math.

We are here to foster each others’ growth as a rider and as an individual. If there is one thing that i have learned from watching tons of anime is that “we do not live for ourselves alone. Each action we take, each word we utter there will be repercussions to others and especially to the ones who are near and dear to us”. Again, think before you say or post anything, this is an open forum. What you say here will echo beyond this site and thus reflect upon us riders.

Sorry for the lengthy post. I have lost a friend also to drunk driving. And i have seen the grief his family went thru. For me there will be no justification for drunk driving.

Always keep in mind you do not live for yourself alone.

tsaka sa mga sinasabi nyo na mahiya mga taga team MCP bakit kayo may hiya ba kayo?? may nabalitaan na ba kayo sa grupo nila na naaksidente dahil lasing??? hmmmm... ako kasama din that time na kasama si mam emma. lam nyo ba kung ilan nainum nila?? MASYADO KAYO MAPANG HUSGA ah.. di nyo lam kung ilan nainum nila o kung cnu s kanila di umiinum kaya wag nyo lahatin...

puede ba akong mag share years back when our group CYCLONE RIDERS CLUB when ever we had a tour for sure upon touch down until wee hour there is the usual DRINKING SESSION. but tke note in many rides/tours we got we had not experience any SINGLE accident b'coz of DRUNKNESS. probably it will depend on the drinking capacity of a person.....

here are sample stories and picture of our previous dagupan and mauban ride.

1st day September 30, 2006, saturday

At 1.00pm we take our sumptuous meal consiting of "inihaw fresh bonoan bangus" and "sinigang na maya - maya". after our lunch boy g collected Php100 each for drinks the never dying old time favorite "GENEROSO" and EMPERADOR and pulutan of "kalderetang kambing". while we are drinking with videoke singing mama mary of papa leo arrived from baguio to join us. after few drinks i take one hour sleep then change to my swim wear and dip in the cold water of lingayen gulf to refresh my tired body muscles.

at 8.00pm we have our dinner consiting of "inihaw na talong", "pork giniling and potato" with matching fresh tomatoes. after our dinner jerel collected php100 each to buy another set of drinks and pulutan. by this time i feel so tired and after few shots i hit the sack at 9.30pm while the tomadors continue drinking, videoke singing and kuwentuhan which lasted until 4.00am.









day 1 = July 1, 2006


at 9:45 we passed sampaloc town proper which has good cemented road, after that rough roads again. 10:00 we reach sampaloc-mauban boundary. finally at 10:20am we arrived at Mauban town proper. we proceed to the house of warren at brgy. mabato just close to the municipal hall. km reading 153km. after rest time we proceed to brgy cagsiay 1 beach close to Napocor power plant. take our lunch of fried fresh fish, fish sinigang and rice. after our lunch we got full stomach, some sleep while others enjoy the drinking session (beer and "matador") and a lot of pulutan. and as usual the videoke challenge. when we feel tipsy we just take a dip in the lukewarm water of Lamon bay. at 7:00pm we take our dinner of fried fish and tinolang manok again courtesy of warren. after eating we pack up and arrive at warren residence at 8:30pm. after finding a place to sleep i and tentay hit the sack at 9:30pm while the others go to nearby beer house to enjoy the night. some came back at 12:30am while others are back at 2:00am.

No offense sir.. high tolerance or not alcohol is affects the judgment of a person. i myself have experienced an accident involving a drunk MC driver my cage got wrecked. you guys are lucky enough not to get into an accident while driving. sir dont push your luck though you may never know when a bad incident could happen. always remember an ounce of prevention is better than a gallon of cure. just a thought

ride yan ng ITRP last year to bicol. kasama si maam pinay. kuha ang kodak na yan sa isang gasolinahan sa tayabas, quezon. kalat yan ng mga dating nakaupo na mga chicks na di namin nakilala (sayang). hehe

pagdating namin ng sorsogon, doon kami nag-inuman sa tinuluyan naming hotel bago magbeautysleep pero di na uminum si pinay.

In Marikina City , four people were hurt when a motorcycle carrying three people hit a pedestrian along Andres Bonifacio Avenue near the Marikina Public Market in Marikina City.

According to what I've learned from BRC, if you drink one bottle of beer, stay for an hour before you drive(that's after you empty your bottle huh). So, if you drink 5 bottles of beer, stay 5 hours before you drive. That would make you safe at the same time naenjoy nyo pa ung pag-inom.
