Plan to buy motorcycle, which one is the best?

I am planning to have my first motorcycle. I'm new to have one and as of now dont know how to drive motorcycle.

I would like to have honda so I searched the internet about honda motorcycles and I found Honda XRM.. Ano pong magandang honda motorcycles? In between XRM's and Wave's??? and ano pong pagkakaiba-iba nila sa XRM 125, XRM 110, XRM 110SE, i have search a bit and found na displacement un? ano pong ibig sabihin ng displacement and ung cc?

    I am newbie on motorcycles.

My first bike is actually The Raider R150.

My primary reason for this? It has manual transmission. I wan't to get used to using the clutch since I plan on upgrading to a Big Bike

displacement (cc) = total volume of the cylinders

BIGGER is better...faster...in most cases heheh.....& mas malakas sa consumo ng gas

cc yata refers to the displacement nung MC. the bigger the displacement the better the power and the speed.

think about of what are your main reasons to buy a Mc, para mas madali mag advice para sa mga posters.

do you like speed? or porma? or pang service lang talaga.

know your preferences, tpos madali na lng mag decide.

also, include the budget price range.

    thanks

    XRM vs Wave

    some pros and cons:
    1.XRM - no leg/mud guard, Wave - has mud/leg guard
2.xrm- single bulb headlamp configuration, wave - has two-bulb headlamp configuration (one advantage of wave)
3.xrm and wave (except wave alpha and earlier) both have U-box or utility box underseat.
4 xrm- can be easily "dressed up" to resemble like the suzuki raider, honda sonic, enduro or motard set-up.
wave- can also be set up but not as easily as the xrm (ex. a wave can be modified to look like a 'raider' but will have lots of work to be done)
5.xrm-fairings are not prone to vibration
wave- fairings are prone to vibration in the long run, especially on the instrument panel part/gauge part/headlight assembly.

cc is actually cubic centimeter -- is universal term for identifying the engine displacement of a motorcycle.

I'm also a relative newbie to motorcycling so i think medyo nakaka-relate pa ko sa 'yo. These are also some of the questions i asked myself (and other people before) i bought my bike. Here are my suggestions based on my experiences...

First, you said you don't know how to ride a motorcycle yet. I think ito dapat una mong bigyan ng pansin. What i did was asked a friend to teach me how to ride both manual and automatic MCs. That would significantly narrow down your choices kasi malalaman mo kung saan ka mas kumportable...

XRM and wave were both in my list nung naghahanap pa ko so i did considerable research on both (both internet based and actual user interviews, hehe!). They both fall in a category called "u-bones" or "underbones" (search ka na lang dito sa MCP about this). anyway, in the simplest terms, yung displacement nga ang pagkakaiba nila (yung cc or cubic centimeters as sir jbinueza kindly pointed out). most of the time, as everybody else have said, the higher the cc, the more power you get, hence, the faster you go. Pero not all the time. generally lang po.

in any case, i think you should take sir bacolodnon's advice into great consideration: know your preference so you can get better responses. Start siguro with these in mind:

    manual or automatic transmission?
    alternative transport or main transport?
    speed? porma?
city driving or relatively light traffic driving?
    and finally, budget.

Whatever ride you choose, be sure na hindi ka mag-papaimpluwensya lang sa sinasabi ng iba. Test ride your choices then imagine yourself riding that mc for years to come. You have to really really want to have that mc bago ka bumili, else, baka pagsisihan mo. When you've determined kung ano na gusto mo, give it a few months before ka bumili. Look for the best deals in or outside town. If after sometime you still feel that you want that mc so bad, that you lose sleep over it, then that's the time to buy it.

Good luck and happy hunting! Welcome to MCP!

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

Nakakuha talaga ako ng much information about MCs, hopefully pag nakabili ako, inform ko sa inyo.

    Thanks again.

I think the most important thing here is to get a good motorcycle driving course...then decide if you still really want to pursue motorcycling as an alternative means of transport.

Not that I am discouraging you. but then i know many people who buy motorcycles because they realize that they can save gas money. They try out a friend's bike, they drive it around the subdivision for about 15 mins, they buy a bike and end up getting into an accident because they are inexperienced and ignorant about proper riding and safety measures.

Get a good feel during your riders course and then decide on what bike you want to get. Hope this helps you. In the future, ride safe!

one suggestion is the new XRM 125
    reasons:
    - mabilis na sya kahit stock (hindi ko sure kung pinaka mabilis)
    - HONDA to, 1 of the big four japan bikes
    - maraming pampagwapo, pwede ka pa mamili kung motard or enduro setup (dirtbike or street bike style)
    - price is almost 57k, sa motortrade na napagtanungan ko

hindi po ako naka XRM 125, so hindi ko po masasabi ang negative (kung meron man)

hirap talaga magdecide pag unang ride, sana mahanap mo na best bike para sayo
