Re: 2014 Yamaha YZF-R1
I have heard rumours that they will match the crossplane with a cassette-type transmission and squeeze the crossplane into the R6 frame, kind of akin to the ZX10R into a ZX6R for the 2011 model year, and try to match the size of the current S1000RR.
Great that they got rid of that undertail exhaust. It looked sexy, exotic, and racy, but becoming obsolete like the extinct dodo bird when it comes to the weight savings and mass centralization that an underbelly shorty or GP-style exhaust, can offer.
All of this are just rumours, but MCN was bang-on with the 636 news.
This 2014 R1 can be a major player in the Philippines along with the latest ZX10R and aforementioned S1000RR(and perhaps, the latest Gixxer 1000 and CBR1000RR as well),since the Yamaha YZF-R6 AND R1s are both currently revered in the Philippines no matter what model year.

Throttle up,knee down,and pray.
My Monster Energy Decals add an additional 13 hp to the rear wheel.
I'm willing to bet that your rear tire is so square I could eat my dinner off of it.
