New Kid On The Block: Honda NC700X

    No shifter?

    Look, no clutch lever too!

Re: New Kid On The Block: Honda NC700X

    from Powersportshonda.com:
    Optional Automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT)
hift with the push of a handlebar-mounted button, or select the NC700X's automatic mode and the bike will shift itself. DCT has been a huge hit on our other models, and once you ride an NC700X with DCT, you'll see why.

As if the NC700X weren’t innovative enough, we’re offering two versions: one with a conventional six-speed transmission and a second with our exclusive Honda Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT). DCT lets you shift racecar-style with a pair of “paddle-shift” type buttons on the handlebar, or you can choose automatic mode and the NC700X will upshift and downshift by itself, helping you to concentrate more on the rest of your ride.

with a msrp of $6999, this is a very good touring bike...might consider this one yet has to see it personally first..

Mukhang maganda nga ang bike na ito sir based sa reviews na nabasa ko. I don't know if Honda is eyeing Philippines as potential market for this one.

maganda to para sa mga long and very long rides..

pero paano pag nasira and DCT nito and mag loko ang electronics neto?

pero still a very very nice bike..

these types of engines are designed to provide torque at low revs. this is what you need for city /commute tyle ridding para matipid sa gas and very streetable. a commuter bike does not need the top end rush of high revv engines .

And all I thought I can get torque juice every time I rev the engine high or downshift to a lower gearing

Re: New Kid On The Block: Honda NC700X

Very nice bike by Honda. I admit, hndi ko kasi masyado pinapansin ang bikes ng honda. but this one, I like it so much...

I like the idea of DCT. so instead of maintaining 2 bikes, AT and SAT/MT. pwedeng iisang bike nalang tapos switch transmission mode depende sa mood at sa need ng rider

I'm also the person who don't like revving too high like racing bikes. I always prefer city or tour speed. hindi ako pwedeng mahyper, prone to high blood pa naman ako :(

Finally got the chance to see one today and this bike looks even better personally.
The model that we saw was a 6-speed manual tranny (w/ foot shifter)

    Honda NC700S review

The new Honda NC700S sacrifices power and speed for its impressive mpg figures.

just like the suzuki burgman 650. Pwd at or manual shift with a push of a button. Maganda siya kaso sana iniba nila design. Parang ginaya kasi gs ng bmw and yun isang version naman parang gilera gp800 scooter.
