Suzuki Hayate 125 Overrev Tuned

please allow me to share some pics of Louie's Hayate 125 scooter, this is but the start of a long project to get as much power while maintaining the reliability & durability of the stock engine.

for starters we got a 61mm AP racing nikasil bore kit, AP racing cam, vario kit & driveface, the cylinder head will receive some tuning in the form of porting, valves will remain stock for now, carb is stock but the airbox & exhaust received some minor tuning mods for increased flow.

weird pala ng intake port ng hayate, ngayon lang ako naka encounter ng ganitong design ng head, sa gilid nakaharap ang intake port.

bagong bago pa talaga yung makina, less than 500kms pa lang tinakbo nito ipinasetup na, bitin talaga stock kumpara sa 180cc raider nya dati.

stock unported head, later on you will see the transformation of this head into a high performance head. stock valve sizes are 25/22

stock exhaust port, just about right but needs some work to flow well.

61mm nikasil bore kit installed, very short break in time which is the beauty of nikasil plated bore kits.

dun ako sa AP cam, bolt on lang, no need to remove the bearings from the other cam, hassle pa magkabit nun lalo na wala ako hydraulic press.

unfortunately nalimutan namin kuhanan ng pics ang assembly ng makina, ngayon hapon lang natapos yung scooter at tumakbo na sya, only after a few kms napapatakbo ko na sya ng 80kmh. malayo talaga takbo ng naka 161cc sa 124cc, maiinip ka sa hatak ng stock pero dito hindi na.

hey fafs, i'm nearly done tuning the scooter, mamaya tapos na ito, kelan nyo kukunin? so far napa 80kmh ko na sya pero di babad, between 60-80 ko sya nilalaro at minsan minsan binibigyan ko ng full throttle to speed up the break in process.

magkaiba pa ba yung Step at Hayate engine? mukhang malabo yata gawan ng 4V head ang Hayate, kung sakali BV ang bagsak natin nyan, yup stroker crank seems to be the next step + upgearing, pipe din siguro may mapipiga pa tayo power pero wait na natin mag BV.

btw nilinis ko na lang oil filter kasi bago pa, next oil change mo is 1000kms, i used suzuki motorcycle oil 10W40 kasi yun lang mineral based oil na 10W40 ang viscosity.

mamaya plug read ako at tono sa rollers pag nakahulapos na ako sa computer ko.

hehehe, bistado talaga dahil litaw ang laman loob, nothing special naman since puro off the shelf ang parts nya.

pinapakiramdaman ko pa yung scooter eh, try ko magbigat ng konti sa rollers. 12g ang stock ng Hayate 125 di ba? 10g pa lang nakakabit dito.

pwede naman yung tubo na lang palitan natin tapos lagyan ng enhancement yung header, di salpak lang pala muffler nito, anyway may binago lang ako sa stock header nito so it should be good pa din.

Will a silent power pipe add value? Kasi napansin ko sa isang silent power pipe eh malaki tubo pero maliit yung opening ng muffler... hindi ko sure sa ibang power pipe...
