    Best tires? Dunlop?

Does anyone know what tires are best? My dad has a sniper and maybe 3 months ago bought some mizzle tires for it with high hopes. We were let down because those tires are already totally bald. Maybe we got a bad batch but I personally will never buy mizzle tires again. I have a raider with dunlop low profiles and ive had my bike for a good 7 months and they still have great tread on them and perform fantastic. So i am urging him to go with dunlops but does anyone have any suggestions?
    thanks and ride safe brothers!

what exactly is the mizzle model ur dad used?
personally, i prefer mizzle over dunlop thai. tried them both.
first was the dunlop thai. after a while, they've lost their grip. though i think
they still have lots of mileage ahead of them. i switched to mizzle m700 and so far has been satisfied. they got more grip, i can actually feel the difference between two brands. probably ur dad bought a soft compound model.

I'd have to look into which model sir cause im not to sure right now. They were fatty tires, nice and wide. I think they were soft compound but i cant be sure. Thanks very much!

depends on the compound. might be your dad's tires were soft-compound, racing types. surely, they won't last as long as all-round road tires like dunlop tt900s.

me... i personally had some experience w/ bridgestone battlaxes bt39ss on my standard raider dati. it was a bit big though... kasi smallest na available at that time were 90/80 ska 100/80.

better choice siguro is 80/90 & 90/90 bt39ss. yun nga lang, pricey ang battlax... pero surely just right sa size & power ng raider.

can't say too much on grip though. it's built for 125cc up... pero problems ata with the weight of the raider kaya lumalabas matigas masyado. anyhow... ang gaan din naman kasi ng raider.

overall road tire okay na tt900... wag lang masyado maliit. just right would be 80/80 & 90/80 sa raider.

try metzeler M01s din. these are cheap but i hear offer good grip for the price... cheaper pa against tt900s.

then again... any tire bumibitaw sa grip because of lots of factors, so mahirap talaga. best to find out is during trackday.

    yun lang po.

    DUNLOP?! hmmmm...maybe!

well...based sa kanyang price, quality, performance, and brands name...it's okay na rin. (dunlop user din ako noon eh).

but for now i am using michelin sporty pilot. i think na surpass pa niya ang dunlop. (in terms of over-all performance)

if those are the same ones before... largest size is like 70/80? so your front would be even smaller than this of course.

if you weigh less than 100lbs., always ride solo, don't go over 80, can see every single pothole on the road a mile away, corner as good as motogp champ rossi and have all the luck in the world... then your good.

no? then pray you only have to deal with bent rims or a bruised ego.

    7090 ang dunlop.

it doesn't mean na if semi-slim ang tire mo eh pagliliko ka ay magslide siya...o ki kaya ay pag may lubak, bengkong agad ang mags mo. maraming factors na dapat i consider. speed, tire psi. etc.

for me mas makapal ang michelin kesa dunlop...lalo na ang sidewall niya...tapos harder compound siya compare sa dunlop which is very ideal for every day road use. (that's why di pa ako nakaexperience nang BUKOL BUKOL sa michelin tire).

about tire gripping...mas lamang ang dunlop kasi softer compound siya kesa michelin...but yet...try niyo na lang 7090 dunlop and 7090 michelin.

I don't know which tyre brand is 'best' but the sniper is heavier than the raider so assuming both are using the same type of tyres, the sniper would wear its tyre more than a lighter bike would.

on my sniper, a tt900 dunlop thailand 90/80 would last about 6 months. on my crypton Z, the same tyre lasts longer. I'm referring to rear tyre only.

a P1.8k rear tyre that has a 6 month service length is a bit costly for me so I switched to Bridgestone (japan) Exedra. this tyre has a harder compound (sport-touring type), it offers pretty much the same (if not better) grip compared to dunlop thailand but lasts a lot longer! the G558 (90/90) I bought last june is still as thick as new but the grip is very good considering its harder compound.

at P2.6k, it costs a lot more than dunlop thailand (P1.8k) but the way I see it, it will outlast the TT900 a lot longer so it's well worth the initial cost.

sir, both brands (specially bridgestone my favorite brand) are good. it'll only boils down on your choice. some said that maxing M1 has a better grip than dunlop.

    Best tires:
    1.Dunlop gp japan
    2.Bridgestone batlax
    3.FDR tires

    4.Pirelli MT75 or city demon
you'll never go wrong with this tires....
    choose wisely...
but it depends on your budget...

if you want affordability...try maxingM1 tires... my friends uses this and so far gets some good feedbacks...

but i still recommends those three on top....they are the best in terms of performance...

good luck in your next choice....

naku, di ko po nasukat ang milyahe sir pero to give you an idea, sa sniper ang travel ko ay taytay to QC di bababa ng 30kms ang balikan, may angkas ako lagi at medyo mabilis ako umarangkada... for 6 months, 4-5 days ang gamit ko sa motor kasi may iba pa akong motor na isinasalit saka hindi naman sya kalbo talaga, manipis lang yung gitnang portion halos lampas na sa wear indicator pero yung bandang gilid makapal pa.

Try Maxing M1. It has excelent grip for an on-road sport tire with good life span. BEST VALUE. Its not the most affordable, its a bit expensive compare to others but If we say best value, we really mean BEST VALUE.

    Re: Best tires? Dunlop?

dito sa amin, 2,650 ang rear (G558) at 2,450 naman ang front (G557) medyo mahal pero maganda naman ang grip at longer lasting. so far it's the best value-for-money tyre I've tried.

    @ceramic,
sa sniper medyo madali lang maubos ang dunlop thailand (considering the weight and my riding style) pero sa iba kong bikes mas matagal naman.
