View Full Version : Helmet and Gloves
JayL October 5th, 2007, 06:15 PM Hello,
Super Newbie po. Hindi ko pa nga magamit z-250 ko dahil d p ko nakakabili ng mga gear. Me nag quote sa akin ng Zeus z3000, 4000 pesos and Caberg Rhyno, 7,400 pesos Helmets. Ano po ba mas ok? Sulit ba yung additional pag Caberg kinuha ko? Yung gloves naman Komine raw Gk-434 , 2,200 pesos. Advise naman po para makadecide na ako. Medyo gigil na rin ako mag ride.
Maraming salamat in advance for your replies.

Fukitol October 5th, 2007, 06:50 PM If you're financially bouyant then go for Caberg (GP1 or Rhyno almost at the same price). Just make sure that the helmet fits you well at hindi gumagalaw pag suot mo.
Regarding gloves (may 2 klase isang mahaba at isang maiksi) it depends on your riding preference at kung saan ka komportable. Komine, Joe Rocket and other famous riding gloves have short and long type. Maganda ang Komine gloves try to check sa motoworld sa fort or MoA (Zeus and Komine meron sila), action hobbies in Greenhills or EDSA, or sa market-market (Active Moto for the caberg helmet at mayroon din silang mga gloves).
Basta isa lang masasabi ko wag ka mag tipid sa safety gear lalo na sa Helmet mas maigi din kung isasama mo na sa iyong listahan ang back protector importante yun

palo615 October 5th, 2007, 07:14 PM May napulot ako regarding helmets on the H-D website. Hope this helps.
Proper fit is vital to the performance and effectiveness of any helmet. Here's how to find the helmet that's the right fit for you. Remember: All helmets fit differently, so always try a helmet on before you purchase it.
Position a standard tape measure approximately one inch above your eyebrows. The tape measure will indicate the size of helmet you should start with. If your measurement falls between two sizes, try the larger size first.
Place helmet on head and fasten the chin straps securely so that there is no space between your brow-line and the inner lining.
To test the fit and the retention system, move your head from side to side and front to back. You should feel the skin on your head move with the helmet. The helmet should fit as tightly as you can comfortably wear it, because the helmet's inner liner will compress with use.
With the chin strap securely fastened, you should not be able to roll the helmet forward, off your head. If you can, the helmet is too large. You should try on the next smaller size.
Wear the helmet for at least fifteen consecutive minutes prior to purchase, to ensure that there are no uncomfortable pressure points. If you do experience uncomfortable pressure points, try on a helmet that is one size larger.
If you typically wear eyeglasses or sunglasses, bring them along to ensure that they will fit without causing pressure points at your ears and the bridge of your nose.

saglikekapa October 8th, 2007, 09:45 AM JayL, bro, Fukitol gave you a very good advise. invest on your safety.
Ichthus Janz October 8th, 2007, 10:53 AM Good advise indeed. Better go for quality safety gears first before thinking of making any modifications to your bike.

I suggest you go and do some "fitting" on those brand/model choices. What matters most is whether you'd be safe and comfortable wearing them, but do keep in mind also not to sacrifice safety with value. Well, this is just my opinion... Ride Safe!
JayL October 8th, 2007, 12:39 PM Many thanks for your replies and advises. I bought the Zeus Z-3000 na and I feel comfortabe with it. Parang medyo mas mabigat n malaki tignan kesa Z-508w pero ok na rin ( size medium). I tried din yung Caberg Rhyno pero masikip sa me chin ko , same as the Zeus Z-508w. So far happy na ko sa Zeus.
kaloi October 8th, 2007, 01:59 PM Congrats sa bago mong Zeus... ako I have both Zeus508w and the Caberg Rhyno. Advantage lang ng rhyno for me is mas magaan and di papalit-palit ng lens, medyo masikip nga lang sa cheek lalo pag mayroon face-mask, kaya dun ko naman nagustuhan ang Zeus. Anyway, for me, both Helmets are good!
