But now... last week lang naexperience ko talaga ang super ULAN, baha ang parts ng Q. ave at Espanya, I opt to stop for a while because of the heavy rain, pero hindi naman ako puwede tumigil ng matagal because I still have to attend my morning class, so biniyahe ko na... when I cruised to banawe, several FX and even Jeeps, could not pass the flood (caused by are very dependable sewers :D) I saw some motorsiklistas with their boots and tsinelas ravaged the floods like a jetski revving in Subic :) So I followed them, thankfully, my z2 did not cause any problem during that flood incident... but my socks experience a splash, sa classroom pa lang ramdam ko na ang lamig ng paa ko, at sure ako na magkakaroon na un ng foul something :D dahil aircon ang classroom namin.

My ever dependable jacket secure my body from water sipping in my polo and sando but my pants, because I still dont have any waterproof pants during that time also experience a heavy splash :)

But the one that irritates me the most is my socks, it's so hard walking with your socks soaking with water, you cannot remove them and make it dry, because your classmates will experience a tomahawk missile launched directly in their nose :) )

So my solution is a rainboots or a Riding boots with a waterproof property.
First I went to stores that sell rainboots(because I know that they are much more cheaper compare to the riding boots and it's a sure waterproof) but I saw a couple of models with a big spout at the opening, which I think is a standard form of the rainboots. It's very hard kasi to go to class wairing a visible rainboots, maganda sana kung nakatago siya sa pants.

My inquiry is, do anyone of the MCP'ers know any location of the rainboots that has a small spout and also serve it's primary purpose :)

I'm also interested in the riding boots that has a WATERPROOF (even in floods) capability and also has a feet protection with a leather material, but with a hefty price of 10.8k (Alpinestars Roam waterproof boots)... I will still try to look for another brand with the same quality but with a much lower price.

Can you please recommend me a brand of riding boots that doesnt give up protecting your socks from being soaked with water and give you added protection in slides... My budget is just 5-7.5k only.

I inquired about the exustar but they told me that it's just water resistant and cannot conquer flood.

Can you please help me... Thanks :)

all i know they're rain proof/water resistant. soaking them in flood waters wouldn't do any good. anyway, you can buy those shoe plastic covers or something and they are made for the floods.

try mo high cut steel toe na safety shoes. maraming brands dyan na waterproof. i personally prefer using them over riding boots for everyday commuting. ingat lang sa sintas just make sure na naka tuck in sya sa sapatos.

OK po ang mga safety shoes. iyan din ang gamit ko.

If I were the thread starter, I will bring extra shoes, so I can remove my rain boots upon arrival at the school.

Or, you may want to wrap your shoes with plastic to avoid getting wet socks.

i use combat boots. Yung issued BATES.
Water proof siya but if the water seeped through your trousers,
It will collect the water. (-:

You could ask our airsoft brothers baka meron or may alam sila

i have 2 pairs of timberland, i use them as riding shoes.

water resistant din, not water proof.

pero ok na din, kasi inabutan ako minsan ng malakas na ulan sa daan and di gaano nabasa paa ko, parag naging damp lang.

The NorthFace Connes GTX - mountaineering boots sya, pero good for riding din because it's high-cut and has Vibram soles (very tough, tested to fully-stop an mc without being worn-out too much, don't know about the breaking distance though). Has the Gore-Tex technology which effectively stop water from seeping inside, while allowing moisture inside the shoes to escape; waterproof-breathable, in short. :D

The North Face shop, I know 2 branches. One at Shangri-La Mall in Ortigas, groundfloor. Another is at Powerplant Mall in Rockwell, 3rd level yata. Minsan meron din sa mga branches ng The Brat Pack sa mga SM Malls, pero sa mismong The North Face siguradong meron. Last time I bought it was a little less than 9T, baka mas mura na ngayon kasi may lumabas na dalawang new models. Regarding the smell, the Connes GTX (and later models, I believe) has the AgION antimicrobial footbed covering technology, which will help eliminate those unwanted smells. Happy hunting! :D

Chief! Ako po Oakley lang gamit ko, para puwede rin pang-ikot sa mga mall, etc., mahirap po kasi ipang-lakad ang mga riding boots, best of all it's waterproof, proven and tested ko na sa lahat ng rides ko. Ingat lagi and God Bless po!

Yup, basta di aabot sa entrada ng boots, di mababasa sa loob. Pero pag yung jeans/pants mo nabasa, at yung dulo is touching the socks, gagapang yung water papasok ng boots. This time you need gaiters. :D
