mga sir and ma'ams, may fake ba na ARAI Helmets?

meron din ba na modular ang ARAI

kung meron, how can we determine if its genuine or not, i mean is there any markings to indicate that its an original one or not?

1st: price-ang mamahal nyan, kaya if the price is too good to be true,,then it is not [me exceptions naman-private sellers clearing out excess goods,or ninakaw yung lid kaya mura binebenta..tsek mo na lang yung strap kung gupit]

2nd: models-before buying , check mo muna sa official arai website if the color and model exist [di ka naman nagmamadaling bumili ]

3rd: finish quality...di sabog ang graphics tsaka yung logo eh pulido ang finish,tapos yung foam n paddings eh makinis ang pagkakagawa.

4th: kung nasa legitimate store ka that sells the arai lid then its gonna be the stores cred vs..if they want to sell a fake one

as far as i know arai doessn't make any modular helmets.

wala pa akong nakikitang arai na fake? meron ba? anyway, malalaman mo naman kagad pag orig. yung finish nya pulido,and all the jap tags inside the lid. dko lang sure kung me modular check mo na lang sa arai website. anyway heres a sample pic reference of my arai RX-7RR4

thats true may mga fake na arai helmets. just by looking you can determine its fake.

arai helmets are very light. excellent quality. and yes...the price is super din.

rx7-rr4 ranges from 28k to 32k. available sa caloocan sales.

malayo ang quality ng arai helmet sa iba.mapapansin kaagad.isa rin sya sa helmet na double D ring ang chin strap.d kamuka ng fake na gumagamit ng quick release system.removable din ang loob para madali linisin.

26k kuha ko sa caloocan sales last year. meron palang fake na arai? me pics ba dyan patingin naman :)

Maybe I can help. If the helmet is a real Arai it will have a Snell certification decal inside like this http://smf.org/images/decals/m05dec.jpg with a serial number. If no decal, it's not an Arai. If it has a decal you give me the decal serial number, and I can check if it is legit.

yey marami nag reply, thanks mga sir...nagulat lang kasi ako sa napansin ko, i saw a helmet, isa lang pa nman na display nila, in one boutique/petshop dito samin, arai ang brand nia and it sells at P2000 lang, kaya nagulat ako, at parang modular ata pagkapansin ko. maganda dting ng loob, padded cia, isa lang napansin ko, inaalikabok na ung display nila na un, mlamang matagal na. so i was only thinking back then na baka sakali orig un, tas di lng marunong mag price ung may ari. any way, thanks for the infos regarding these, sana macheck ko na orig un, baka maka jackpot man lang:O

i dont believe na may expiration ang helmet. its just a matter of how you take care of it.. lalo na pag nakadisplay lang? i doubt! but if, you are using it in straight 5 years kahit sa pagtulog mo suot mo, malamang maniwala ko na 5years nga lang talaga... :banana:

of course, meron, the shell, styro and comfort lining do deteriorate in the course of usage, manufacturers recommend changing the helmet every 5-7 years...

kahit naman sa mga site nila sinasabing 5-7yrs nga lang ang helmet at dapat palita na, kahit mabagsak lang eh dapat ng palitan..!! I have my Arai astro helmet pero ng madiscover ko na may expiration nga eh binenta ko na agad 2k lang disposed agad...

balik sa topic.. check mo din ang lens naka sulat doon ang model ng helmet naka embosed sya sa upper right ng lens!!

how can you determine a fake arai from a genuine one just by lookin at it you ask? easy - look at the face shield (or "lens" as others call it). ALL genuine Arai shielded helmets have clickable, 2-position BROW VENTS (as you can see from sir sidewayz' helmet pic). the only Arai's that dont have the brow vents are the Arai Classics (which come non-shielded). other features are easy to imitate but the vented shields takes more effort in manufacturing that they are still hand-made. other details can be compared only if seen up close but, basically, the faceshield tells it all right away for me :D

I dont believe that helmets have expiration,perhaps the interior stuff.if ur not into racing i think u should be lesser conservative about helmets....shoei helmets have modular model,try to view for sale helmets....if u have tight budget,bocaue bulacan has a shop that sells reconditioned shoei and arai's form japan.safe riding & Godbless
