If you're into serious riding, get a body armour, but if your just using for daily commutes jet a mesh jacket.

I have both and I use the armour for long rides, practice, and riding in the rain (topped with water proof jacket). I used the mesh jacket on coffee shop meet-ups, tambays, and daily commutes.

@all: thanx for your inputs. you've been very helpful, guys!

Oo nga pala, dami truck dyan. Armours are a lot safer but its quite awkward if you walk around wearing them. Yung mesh ko OK na suot ko pa rin habang papanik ng elavator.

body armor!!! [that why im selling my joe rocket, blue xl:D]

i was able to buy a "not so bulky" chest protector which can be worn under your shirt...[actually its for mx purposes but it can be so discreet that you wont notice its there]

pag suot mo na yun...any kind of shirt will do...long sleeves...3/4...etc....[bast allowance lang sa size para di hapit sa damit kung isusuot mo sya under shirt...]

reason for me is,, mesh jacket...kahit na breathable yung tela...still is heavy and can be hot when not on the move....

besides...it looks cool wearing a roost protector....para maiba naman..tsaka di lang spine ang protektado sa katawan mo....pati dibdib...:)

just my thoughts

i went to Motoworld-MOA last sunday. i checked out the POLE POSITION BODY ARMOR to see how it fares with the FOX BODY ARMOR.

balak ko na sanang bilhin ang pole position kaso parang na-dissappoint ako ng konte. astig ang porma nya kung sa porma lang. ang pinagdadalawang isip ko lang ay ang chest protector nya. 'di kaya mabasag 'yun 'pag sumemplang ako? tingin ko kase fiber glass sya. while the Fox is pure black at kapareho ng shoulder & back protector nya ang chest portion in terms of the materials used. the price of Pole Position @ motoworld is P2,500 only while the Fox @ san fernando, pampanga is 3K (fixed price na daw 'yun).

my problem is: if i buy the pole position (mas maporma & mas mura), would it offer the same protection (chest part) as with the Fox which is P500 more expensive than the pole? fox or pole, pole or fox?

comments or insights please...

ok yung fox. i wear fox body armor in going to work. it feels safer wearing one. i used to own one pero sold na. will just buy another when budget permits.

ang downside lang ng body armor eh bibitbitin mo lagi kung maglalakad-lakad ka. kasi kung soot mo, eh aalaskahin ka pa. di rin sya pwedeng i-fold, bulky pa. lagi mo isu-surrender sa baggage counter ng mga supermarkets and malls. pero given a choice, will still buy body armor over mesh jacket. pero kung may pera rin lang, bibili ako nung dalawa. ayus!!!

Pole Position body armour, fiberglass? You must be talking about the roost deflector used for motocross. A roost deflector is different from the body you are referring to. They dont offer the same protection.

The first photo is a Fox racing armor while the other one is a Fox roost deflector.

If you dont do motocross, get the armor.

go for fox. you won't regret it. subok ko na ang quality kasi kahit halos every other day ko labhan eh talagang matibay. yung threading di nasisira. yung mga stretchable parts eh di lumuluwang. kapit pa rin sa katawan at mga braso. considering na 1 year ko rin gamit at madalas kong labhan. bibili ako ulit kay allan pag nakaluwag. nami-miss ko pag-soot eh. ngayon medyo takot ako sa daan. parang kulang kapag nagmo-motor ako eh.

i do have joe rocket mesh jacket & fox body armor..2.8k ko nabili sa tropa brand new of course..

in terms of low budget of course go for PP na,ok din naman yun. Kung sa protection siguro same din sila. But mas common yung fox sa circuit racing kung mapapansin mo...ride safe!..

I have both.

@ice: siguro nga china made. 'di ko kase nakita ang tag.
