Hello i am new on here so hello to everyone,

I have a piaggio NRG MC3 with 2271km on the clock.. de-restricted and a arrow sports can.. it was running fine untill yesterday i broke down.. i lost all compresion so we removed the cylinder and realised that the cylinder piston and piston rings all had damage i herd som chittering a few days ago but thought nothink of it, i think somethink got into the crank case and it took a deep mark out of the side of the cylinder and the piston.. i also took my cylinder into a motorbike shop they sed that it has had oil stalvation.. i have orderd all the new bits today and was just wondering if there is any way to stop oil stalvation happening..

welcome, oil starvation? maybe your oil pump is blocked have the oil pump checked & cleaned along with the hoses.

i definatly know oil is getting through because i have gone through a litre bottle in 3 weeks mabe its because ive de-ristricted it and its jetted up but also it is drip fed i dont think it had a pump..

the oil pump is located at the transmission side of the engine, you'll see it when you pull off the cover, it runs off the belt from the crankshaft where also the waterpump is driven as well.

what oil are you using? i'm running Motul600 in my aerox & you can tell from my signature it loaded with tuning parts & it runs with the stock oil pump & i haven't seized it b'coz of oil starvation. i never mix oil in the gas tank btw.

have you got pics of the cilinder & piston? i want to see how it looks, call it a second opinion from another technician.

It has also got a size 69jet in it can anyone help?

....Have your oil pump checked and ask your mechanic if it can be adjusted to increase oil flow....Use high quality oils....
