Need some advise / help here

Im planning to migrate to australia and I have some questions regarding importing motorcycle to australia:
1. Which is more cheaper to import my vespa px150 here in philippines to queensland australia or to buy a good second hand vespa there?
2. how much it would cost me to import this unit( example if the declared value is PHP100K) ? what are the requirements?
3. how long it would take to deliver it?

Thanks in advance.

I dont know how much it would cost but I think its better to sell your vespa here and buy a vespa when you arrive in australia. Probably cheaper. But then again, what do I know? :D

Just my ten cents worth. :)

Your answers would depend on where in Queensland you are settling. This state is about as big as the whole of the Philippines.

Try one of the websites for the local prices. For example:
http://www.bikepoint.com.au (lists 11 Vespa's in Qld)
http://www.bikesales.com.au (lists 9 Vespa's in Qld)

The prices will be more expensive to buy one here, but to import one you have those importation costs as well as more difficulty registering it (have to get a roadworthy etc.). I would think shipping will take 1 to 2 months. Everything you buy will be more expensive for you here - that's the way it is here. :)
