NSCB June 19th, 2007, 10:07 AM Actually, even a less expensive helmet as long as it is REALLY DOT certified will provide the same protection as the high-end helmets...fit & comfort lang magkakatalo.....
BTW, maraming helmets out there that claims & even have DOT stickers and markings, when actually they're not even certified....ingat lang pagpili ng helmet...
Ichthus Janz June 19th, 2007, 10:41 AM You'll never know when accidents would happen, so always gear up whenever you ride. May our fellow brother have a speedy recovery.

sorry but i disagree with you bro...immitation helmets does not undergo crash tests so its better to wear an original helmet for an even chance of survival.

carl's June 27th, 2007, 12:10 PM im selling my helmet arai... just text me 09172434698
dandang June 30th, 2007, 08:48 PM Does anybody have any idea where I can buy a NEX helmet? I used to buy it at Triumph but it seems they don't sell it anymore parang hindi na sila dealer. It really fits my head because it comes in different sizes and the visor is polycarbonate hindi madali magasgas and tama sa budget ko 1th lang DOT rated din. If anyone knows of the brand and where I can buy it please let me know. Thanks.

pepe1275 September 15th, 2007, 10:12 PM I would agree that we should get a helmet that at least meets DOT standards which is the standard for certification and having a SNELL or ECE helmets would be better. Not to put down Index but I have a friend who washed out from his motorcycle about a month ago sustained head injuries, he had a short term amnesia and lost his vision for more than 3 hours. Looking at the helmet it didn't break the outer shell it had a long skid mark right on top of his brow down to the chin plate. Because of the soft outer shell, instead of dipersing the impact it absorbed the impact which is supposed to be the inner liners job to absorb any force that was left when the outer shell hits the pavement. He was riding around 60-70 kph when it happened and he was wearing an Index 411. I'm not putting down Index but from what I've seen it helped him out somehow not getting his skull busted but if it was a certified helmet it would have minimal damage to him... probably a stiff neck the most. Adding another 1500php is a lot less than spending it in the hospital and he said that he could have bought another motorcycle from what they've paid the hospital.

My friend, theres a big "?" on that remark. Thats why Helmets go through a rigid scrutiny in order for it to be deemed DOT & SNELL.
I would rather put my money on a Helmet that i certified to be as such than to save a few bucks & take a chance on one that isnt. Remember, we only have one head & one brain. To gamble it by wearing a helmet that's not certified, regardless of the make, is something I for one will not take a chance on....
sunnycuevas September 17th, 2007, 08:53 AM Last Saturday afternoon, actually it was close to six o'clock, I walked along grace park to scout a good helmet. To make the story short, I end up looking at EXCEED store . I am a total stranger in this area since this is the first time I shop in Caloocan. I'm obsessed with half-face helmet so the woman in exceed showed 2 brands. ZEUS and SPYDER. Finally, I opted to get the ZS-506W model black of Zeus. What surprised me was when I told the woman that I am a forumer of MCP? She suddenly left me and go inside the shop. After 15 seconds I think, she offered me a discounted price that I didn't ask. That price given to me is a privilege for all MCP forumer, I supposed.
Thanks to EXCEED anyway since I don't know any one from the store and I just thank them and left them.
It is really nice to wear a good quality helmet.
Also saw a CABERG Helmet in display.
Maybe in the near future I will be getting a full-face and a modular to complete my helmet stock...
Thanks for reading guys...just sharing....

allen_revoluxon September 17th, 2007, 10:21 PM bros. magkano ba ung zeus sniper type na helmet?
yeoman September 18th, 2007, 03:26 PM sorry but i disagree with you bro...immitation helmets does not undergo crash tests so its better to wear an original helmet for an even chance of survival.
But its true Bro, my opinion is a bit philosophical. Its better to wear a helmet than not wearing anything at all. Even non-certified helmet still has foam inside and hardened material outside that can protect your skull when struck by hard objects. So the helmet will somehow absorb the force of the hit. Just imagine if you're not wearing one. That's why i said that line.

Of course that's true. I myself would rather buy a certified helmet but what I mean here is, its better to wear a helmet than not wearing anything at all. You see there are many riders here who are careless and is habitually riding without wearing one. So that what I'm trying to say. My line here is a bit philosophical. A non-certified helmet 'might' save your life, of course it depends on how hard the crash would be, but it will definitely lessen the impact your head might absorb.
