For everyday riding on a scooter and on that budget, there's this Icon mid cut shoe i forgot the name. Better yet, check the Icon website. Its the only mid cut riding boot they have.

If you want an on board bike and everyday shoe combined. maybe a Cat boot with steel toe will do perfect for you.

Good luck and safe riding!

Tankers RLX Rusty Lopez military type boots. Look great with denims. Oil and Sliip resistant. Steel toes. 1.1K, medium height. 1.5k full size.

OR

Pwede rin atang magpaka-customize sa Marikina, tapos gawa sa gulong ng eroplano yung swelas para matibay.

i'm wondering if you're referring to icon's super duty 2 boots? (http://newenough.com/boots/sport_street_touring_boots/icon/super_duty_2_motorcycle_boots.html) they are cut right above the ankle & priced at $90 (roughly about 4176 pesos). although personally i prefer real motorcycle boots. this icon boot certainly is a better option than boots that are not made for riding. the important thing to look for is protection against hyperextension of your ankle. most street & athletic shoes can't achieve that level of protection.

I used a Polo brand tourstar model leather boots and a waterproof model of Merrel hiking shoes.

Any shoe that will give protection to your toes and ankles would suffice. I'm speaking for everyday travel. Hassle naman kung shoes iba shoes for the ride, and may dala pa extra for work. Iba na usapan kung out of town rides.

For short trips, I strongly suggest at least wear a shoe. Last time I visited my brod who is an orthopedic surgeon at POC, i saw a rider lose his right 4th and 5th toes because sumabit daw.

I saw another rider who had a tibial fracture, he endured the pain of removing his one piece teknic kawasaki suit because it will be literally cut for ease of removal. I wanted to post pics pero medyo gorey.

Ride with shoes!

yung daily riding shoes ko eh yun na ring pang office ko :D leather kase dapat ang pang office so most of my leather shoes are casuals or driving shoes. eh 15 minutes ride lang naman ako from house to office so hindi stressful.

but for strict riding shoes lalo't byahe, i stick to my Nike ACG's, Merrel continum/vibram and Swatch leather adventure shoes :D mga adventure shoes lang gamit ko na hindi spiked ang soles. di ako kumportable sa hiking shoes lalo't malalaki ang spikes kase ang hirap kumambyo. madalas sumasabit pa sa pegs...

sir wasted, para palang pang astronaut! :s

na try ko kase minsan gamitin ung COLEMAN kong leather na adventure/rugged shoes... ang hirap i-kambyo sa underbone kase masyadong bulky. lalo't me kadyot sa likuran kapag downshifting. ok lang sa non-rotary trans kaya whenever i use my cub for rideouts, i don't use it anymore kahit na gustuhin ko man. i get to use it whenever i get to use my dad's bike...

i have a pair of sidi vertigo air. they are very comfortable & offer lots of protection. the perforations also provide plenty of airflow in warm weather.

they are priced retail at $275. however, most dealers (that carry them) will willingly give you a good discount. you can also find deals on ebay too! i had a buddy that picked up a brand new pair for $150.
