This is the BMW Q6 XTR worth around P250,000.00 (US$4,800). I saw the latest one at their showroom here in Japan (Q7.1 ST) which is being sold for Jpy 620,000 (about Php 300,000).

well, if you're really into cycling, 250thou isn't surprising. a lot of high end bicycles cost much more. Especially those italian road bikes and the really good downhill bikes.

AutoTrend along Timog Ave here in Q.C. has one of those for sale. IIRC they also have the Porsche and Mercedes Benz bikes on display. Their asking price was similar at around 200K+ Pesos per unit. It's not surprising though. Even your regular run of the mill carbon fiber, dual hydraulic disc brake, full-suspensioned MTB cost over 50 grand these days. What more if you get a custom-built Italian frame with full Campagnolo components. Presyong Ducati na yon!

It's a BMW. What do you expect. It's bound to be pricey.

I have no question about it being worth it though. It should be, considering the tons of technology that goes into all their products - cars, bikes, motorcycles and riding gear.

It's a brand thing also, I believe.

Yep. That's right.

GT Bicycle Co. has a $20,000 DH Prototype Mountain bike, only used by their few best GT Team racers. :)
