Hi Guys, does anybody know what motoGP riders wear under those suits, what type or armour protection do they have and if there is a minimum safety standard that applies before on can race in the MotoGP?

Very insteresting kasi yung mga suot nila, despite the fact na madalas may sumesemplang sa race minimal lang yung injury ng riders perhaps because of the gear.

TIA fellas

they use inner suit

then the 1 pcs leather suit like usual but fitted and size them properly ! sliders on the knee and elbow protector and back

You can get that protection on a full suit but it will cost you a lot !

kangaroo hide yata ang gamit na leathers ng mga riders, mas magaan kesa cow hide at mas matibay

I heard few comments na kevlar reinforced daw yung suit in certain parts.

Sana may website na nagpapakita ng diagrams or illustrations ng suit ng mga MotoGP riders.

all motogp riders are outfitted w/ 1-pc suits made of kangaroo hide (for its light weight & abrasion-resistant characteristics). all suits are reinforced w/ ce-approved protectors. this includes shoulder, elbow, knee, shin, chest & strap-on back protector. they also wear sweat-wicking suit liners underneath the leathers. popular sponsors for full suits include companies like: alpinestars, dainese, motogp, spidi & arlen ness. helmet sponsors: arai, shoei, agv, suomy, nolan & shark. boots: alpinestars, sidi, oxtar & puma.

kahit ARAI, SPIDI, and SIDI safety wears alang ang magkaroon tayo ayos na hehehehehe tsaka i watched last race na in the future from Alpinestar magkakaroon na raw ng neck protector as for now laging collarbone ang nadadali sa mga riders parang pang pasyeste yung ilalagay nila lol

you're absolutely right. alpinestars had developed a neck brace specifically for motorcycle roadracing: a-cr (alpinestars cervical road/race). here's a write-up about this new safety eqpt: http://www.roadracerx.com/article.php?article_id=344

Pwede rin sa ating "buwaya" hide..mas makapal yun and mas resistant sa abrasion.

may mga armors at pads built-in sa mga 1pc leather suits pero may option ka na tanggalin ito & wear an aftermarket armor inside the suits.

most good cowhide suits would run in the range of $800~$1400... some even more. kangaroo suits can cost a lot more. however, motogp has one of the most affordable kangaroo suits available. the motogp 1-pc kangaroo compression suit runs less than $850.

kangaroo leather is preferred by professional riders because it is more durable & has twice the abrasion resistance of cowhide. they are also much lighter (since they can make them thinner without compromising leather integrity), which is a competitive advantage. riders shave weight whereever they can.
