The Lord's mercies in affliction

Lamentations
chapter 3

21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Isaiah 54:17

"No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me," declares the LORD.

This is one of the verses I held on to during the time I was being accused of something I didn't do. Mahirap, I was really shaken, crying almost every time, everyday. Traumatized almost to the point of losing my mind. Walang kakampi kundi pamilya ko at ang Diyos. God is good, He never fails.

As a Christian it is not right to wish anybody ill, but I do know God repays people according to what they have done, as what Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 4:14

Alexander the metalworker did me a great deal of harm. The Lord will repay him for what he has done.

Love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you, said the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 5:44.
