View Full Version : HJC AC-3 ... is it ok?
scooter123 February 23rd, 2004, 05:27 AM i am planning to buy an HJC ac-3 with shield for city use. is this a good helmet? i have read that the shield held and protected the face when a guy crashed with it. i read it in motorcyclesuperstore.com
around how much is the cheapest? how much for the shield?? thanks guys!!
High Side February 23rd, 2004, 07:29 AM AC 3 has a tag price of 4000. Shield is @ 1000. source is Triumph Marketing at caloocan between 8th. & 9th. Ave.
froilanr February 23rd, 2004, 01:33 PM OK ang AC-3 kasi DOT & SNELL approved. Removable & washable ang linings. HJC AC-3 is the FINEST TOURER sabi sa website ng HJC.:)
Yung sakin HJC AC-2. Oks narin.
Buti gusto mo open-face pala?
I encourage you to buy yung AC-3 kaysa sa ac-2, kasi mas-safer yon, kahit mas-mahal.
Oks lang dito sa amin ang open-face. I don't know kung ok yan sa EDSA, kasi mausok at ang bibilis masyado ng mga sasakyan.
dhanvic February 23rd, 2004, 02:48 PM what about zeus helmets?
I saw one in Marikina at about Php4,300. Yung parang Symax ng HJC! Ok ba ang review nio d2>?
BDW, I use HJC CL-12 Fullface...
froilanr February 23rd, 2004, 03:01 PM Yung AC-3:
HJC's finest tourer, the AC-3.
• DOT/SNELL M2000 approved fiberglass weave construction.
• Superior fit and finish.
• Exceptional ventilation featuring the ACS advanced channeling system. (3 intake & 2 exhaust vents).
• Plush removable/washable interior.
• Sleek, aerodynamic visor design.
• Optional ratchet movement shield.
• Available in sizes XSmall to 2XLarge.
• Available in 6 solid colors; black, white, pearl white, silver
(shown), wineberry, and red.
dhanvic,
off-topic na bro. meron thread about sa zeus paki tignan mo nalang.
dhanvic February 23rd, 2004, 03:07 PM Pasencia n bro,
I think we're having a problem with the search fature of the site. it often displays no result...
but thanks anyhow! I'll try to search about it...Or you may help me with the link to the topic covering zeus helmets
thanks:D
froilanr February 23rd, 2004, 03:13 PM scooter123,
Example nalang dito sa amin.
I tried to use yesterday ang full-face kong HJC, ang init!
scooter123 February 23rd, 2004, 08:40 PM thanks guys!! froi, i also use the AC-2 for city riding... But i need a shield...
i went to triumph this afternoon and fitted all of the open face (w/ shield) HJC helmets they have.. you know what, the AC-3 won't fit my head... ang sakit sa ears hehehe... i settled for a cl-22 instead.. mas mura, and yet the fit is perfect!
also liked the visor design, protection din yun eh in case sumemplang
now i might sell the ac-2
thanks guys!

scooter123 February 25th, 2004, 03:27 AM i am a M or L sa HJC depende sa model... i just find it weird na hindi kumasya sa akin yung L ng AC-3... sa may ears area, it won't fit... hehehe...
anyway, i got a cl-22 already... nice fit!
v22 February 25th, 2004, 06:54 AM naks! change scoot, change helmet din! sarap a! kaingit! :D
scooter123 February 25th, 2004, 08:20 AM v22, hehehe :D
medyo napag-trip-an lang yung may shield :D
