View Full Version : Please help me decide. HJC CL14 or M2R MR11?
driedmango April 23rd, 2007, 01:49 PM Guys. I need your inputs regarding these two helmets. Their price range are the same but I'm not sure which one is better. Sabi sa internet, pareho silang maganda at good starter helmet na snell approved.

* Wind tunnel tested aerodynamic shell shape with an extra large eye port for greater visiblity.
* Adjustable chin bar, forehead and front/side vortex vents.
* A two-stage pivot mechanism compresses the shield into the helmet to provide a securely tight seal.
* DOT & Snell M2000 approved.
* PRICE: 79.99 USD (CLOSE OUT SALE - original price is 149 USD)
M2R Helmets MR 11 Full Face - Charcoal Graphic Helmet 2006
* Composite FIberglass shield
* D-Ring Retention System
* EPS inner liner
* New Flat Graphic Design

* Dual top intake vents
* Single front intake vent

Both of them are certified pero yung HJC CL14 "M2000" yung isa naman "M2005"
Please help... Thank you po in advance...
NSCB April 23rd, 2007, 02:08 PM question lang bro...do you intend to buy it through the internet?
driedmango April 23rd, 2007, 02:19 PM question lang bro...do you intend to buy it through the internet?
Nope. Nasa LA ako until May. I'm visiting their warehouse next weekend kaya wala na pong shipping charge, ek ek... 8.25 percent tax lang at syempre yung fuel expenses papunta duon. around 22 miles lang ang distance nuon from my place.
I'm going to buy it directly from their warehouse...
NSCB April 23rd, 2007, 02:29 PM ah ok, haven't seen any M2R helmets kasi dito sa atin....but the HJC CL14 is already fine for me, i had one before, exactly the same graphics as what you have posted....
eto gusto ko about the HJC CL14:
1. Nice fit
2. Removable/washable liners
3. 7 air vents...the coolest helmet i've had so far
4. quiet
5. not that heavy
6. clear coated graphics and very nice finish...
to add may dealer dito sa pinas nyan...so if ever you need to get a faceshield may mabibili ka...
i wish i could say something about the M2R, but like what i've said....i haven't seen one here yet...
* Composite fiberglass shell
* EPS inner liner
* Rideflex interior removable and washable
* Flotec adjustable forehead/chin ventilation
* Dual top intake vents, single front intake vent
* New Flat Graphic Design
* Meets or exceeds DOT safety standards
* Snell M 2005 Certified
* Sized: X-Small, Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large
supermanster April 23rd, 2007, 04:36 PM m2R for me...kakaiba di kagaya HJC dame dito sa Pinas. Kung madame modelo lang M2r dito sa pinas yan ang bibilhin ko...kokonti lang kasi pagpipilian sa Euromotors kaya i ended up buying a KBC Vr2 (yung nasa avatar ko) na kasing presyo lang ng HJC CL-SP. mas malupit pa kasi Race helmet at lufetikis ng disenyo...
driedmango April 23rd, 2007, 05:12 PM Now I know what M2R means. It's Made 2 Race. Here's their official website.
http://www.made2race.com/
M2R MR11 costs 124.95 dollars pala. tapos 134.95 naman yung may graphics.
D&G April 23rd, 2007, 05:19 PM Get both. One for you and one for your wife. Have you compared the price of the CL-14 there with those that they sell at JT Triumph? Pareho lang din ba or cheaper diyan sa US?
NSCB April 23rd, 2007, 05:55 PM if the price haven't changed....the HJC cost P4.2K at JT if my memory serves me well....@$79.99 x P48=P3,839.52....konti lang difference sa price.
driedmango April 23rd, 2007, 11:21 PM if the price haven't changed....the HJC cost P4.2K at JT if my memory serves me well....@$79.99 x P48=P3,839.52....konti lang difference sa price.
ryan April 24th, 2007, 01:33 AM This is just my opinion but if you prefer a SNELL version helmet, I think get one with a fiberglass shell at least cuz with a plastic shell, its weight will be quite uncomfortable.
:)

Ah ganon po ba yun? m2r m11 is using fiberglass according to their website... Thanks for the info.
tenga74 May 3rd, 2007, 06:58 PM mas maganda ang helmet if 2 shells sya and made of composite fibre.. pahabol lang po. peace. :)
