Ok mag half face helmet basta DOT certified din. Mas nagagamit ko nga yung half face ko na HJC CL-22 than my HJC CL-15. Mas magaang ang half face compare sa full face kaso mas malamig sa ulo yung full face ko kasi meron syan 4 way ventilation.

Balaclava ay maitin ma parang tights sa mukha, pagsinuot mo ito, mata lang at sa bunganga ang may opening.:)
Meron din yung klase na mata lang ang may opening at sarado ang ilong at bunganga.

the helmet on the pic attached above is an "open-face" type helmet or three quarter shell helmets, it covers the top and back of the skull but not the face.. half-face helmets or "beanie" helmets covers only the top of the skull and usually doesn't cover the ears..

i used to wear open-face type helmets before, thinking that i only ride small bikes and will look good with an open-face type..but after someone i know smashed his face at the back of a van, breaking all of his teeth including a dislocated jaw, it scared me and i never used open-face type helmet again..

I would go with a modular helmet bro. this way you can open the front when you need a breath of freash air, drink or smoke a yosi!, and still be covered when your back in motion. all of the accidents I've seen is bikes being hit in front (being cut off, etc.) the riders in those accidents; their helmets are all scraped on the front, specially the mid-to lower half of it. Saved their life...more like their face:D anyway~ invest in some good gloves too...the ones with double padding on the palm area...remember during a fall it's human reaction to place your hand to cushion a fall.;)

i own a caberg downtown, the beauty of it is...it has a secondary tinted visor....

...aside from not needing a to wear any shades...it acts as a double protection to your eyes during moderate to severe accidents...

just imagine yung buong lens ng half face....eh puro wide clear lens...at kapag nabasag yan , malamang sandamak mak na jagged edge ang magpipiraso....some of it would hit you in the face....pero what if kung sa mata ka tinamaan??

half face is fine by me....my major concern lang is yung plastic lens nya...it's worth using a secondary visor[clear or tinted] just for eye protection[ e.g. oakley m frames which i use]

maganda rin sa full faced helmet ay pwede mung ikandado sa motor mo lalo nat mamahalin ang helmet mo pwede mung ipasok yung cable sa loob at itali sa arm rest or any part of the bike yung kandado.

I'm using Zeus 666 model. comfortable gamitin, yun nga lang malaki yung nabili ko (I should have bought large but I bought the XL size. when i fitted it it seems to fit snugly, not realizing luluwag sya pag matagal na) kaya ngayon i have to wear a bonnet para sumikip, and i'm offering it to someone na gustong makipag-trade to large size. (OT na)

I bought Zeus half face helmet last month sa Motoworld MOA....P1800 ang bili ko....Ok rin naman sya gamitin kc mas presko kaya lang medyo bagal lang takbo para iwas aksidente...Tska gamit ko lang sya pag lapit lang pupuntahan....full face gamit ko pag long rides para mas safe...

Folks theres always a Pros & Cons to everything. Do your OWN homework before hand. Dont use our opinions to justify your own judgement... Compiling opinions IS ok but bottomline is that its still up to you to make the right choice.

Mahirap na kasi... Consensya pa namin pag it turns out not what you have expected based on all of our feedbaks. Personally, I dont mind owning one, but I settled for my KBC Modular because Im more at ease knowing that there's something protecting my chin...

Id say, if one has to spend a tad more to be able to be protected, why not diba? Yor face is your asset, protect it everyway possible. :clap:
