Guys I went to Quaipo yesterday and I saw a lot of Index Helmets there. The small size full face helmets are only P700.00. They are neat and have good designs also... honestly they look like original ones.

A Motorcycle shop here in our area told me that they sell the same helmets also, but they sell it for P1,100.00. And the saleslady told me that their helmets are originally made from thailand. (hindi muslim made like in quiapo)

How can I verify if an Index helmet is Thailand made or Muslim made?
May "distinguishing mark" ba or something? A sticker maybe?

You check the comfort liners bro. Yung Index Quipo medyo hindi maganda ang foam, cloth material at yung polystyrene. Pansinin mo rin yung index logo, minsan hindi pantay. Check the chin strap kung flimsy. At higit sa lahat yung shell kung mukhang matibay.

Wait din tayo ng inputs ng ibang Index users.

yung index thailand me sticker siya from thailand eh... saka try mo din isuot yung helmet... tapos katukin mo salabas... parang iba kasi pag quiapo.. halatang peke..

Simple lang yan mga bossing sticker lang pagbabasehan nyan kung mapapansin nyo halatang dinikit lang ang sticker ng peke di tulad ng sa thailand talangang nakasama sa topcoat BEWARE OF IMITATIONS!!!!

Malamang naman na yung binebenta sa bangketa at sa loob ng Uniwide ay mga pekeng Index.

agree ako kay sir mototechnix i used index helmet and sa sticker plang nkasama tlga xa topcoat..halatang di basta bsta mauukit ng kuko..hehehe..pati ung strap nia may tatak index..hehe..IMHO..:D

Sa B.I.J. shop sa antipolo (kina sherwin_trix) may binebenta sila na Index 411 for P1,100 only. Sabi nung may-ari sa akin, orig daw yung index helmet nila from Thailand. Hindi raw katulad nung mga nasa quiapo/pier.

Later daan ako sa shop nila then I'll check it thoroughly first before buying it.

yung original may thailand quality sticker sa gilid then katabi yata nun yung model nr niya. Sticker hindi nababaklas. yung pinakamurang model ng index dito angeles na nakita ko yung 411 is 1000 pesos.

sa 411 pisilin mo yung foam nya dapat di lulubog ang daliri mo matigas ang foam ng original.... di ko alam ang term basta yung kulay puti na parang styro.... may dalawa akong 411 yung isa original talaga yung nabili ko sa caloocan peke yata. mas malambot yung styro nya pero ganong ganon din ang pagkakayari.... sa sta.lucia mall, orig index nila pero may tinda rin sila fake pero sinasabi nila chaka pinapapisil ang styro. don daw nalalaman yun. meron din silang HJC at around 4K

P1600 po ang bili ko sir..... pero nag sale sila 2months ago 1400 na lang ewan ko lang kung may sale pa..... If i were you, bibili na lang ako sa exceed ng fullface na ZEUS P2000 since forumer ka less 10%. P1800 na lang dot cert pa siya..... sabihin mo lang na forumer ka tsaka minsan tinatanong rin kung anong grupo mo....

most of the helmets you see in in the pier, and quiapo areas mostly come from china.

try to visit sites www.alibaba.com or www.made-in-china.com and do a search of every product you can think of. most brands we have are made there, rebadged, and sold in different names. some people would simply capitalize on the fact that the buyers are not aware about this, and try to sell these products at higher prices. you know how most people think when the product is expensive, they think it's "orig".

Kahit yung mga Dept store di maiwasan magbenta ng fakes. Much better kung sa mga trusted motorcycle shops like Exceed ka na lang bumili.

Guys I bougth the Index helmet yesterday at B.I.J. shop (Antipolo.)
The helmet was good, the design and the foam padding inside of it was neatly done. I attached here a photo of the Index helmet so you guys can give me some feedbacks about it... any comment will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :D

Pic 1 = There are two logos about it being thailand made.
Pic 2 = There is a "quality control sticker" of some sort beneath the foam padding. The foam padding is colored black.
Pic 3 = In front of the mouth area inside the helmet. The rubber/plastic padding there has an engraved logo saying "INDEX". At the back of the neck area inside the helmet also, there is also a very small word "INDEX". And the metal part of the strap has an engravement "SYK".

The helmet also came with its appropriate Index box. But no manual or bag was inside. It costs exactly P1100. :)

What do you think guys? Did I make a good buy? Thanks! :D

bro, the helmets in malls are almost always fake.

dito sa sm fairview, may helmets sa sports shops, car shops, at isang bike store. pero sobrang ibang-iba sa mga helmet na binebenta sa labas. halata na peke.

Tama ka sir rev125! yung INDEX 811 ko may bag at manual for 2,400.. at pansin ko walang tunog yung orig kapag na hulog sa sahig parang fiber glass yung shell nya iyan ko lang.. di katulad ng peke na lumalagapag kapag nahulog sa sahig.. try nyo ihulog yung index nyo kahit from waist line lang talagang walang ingay i mean smooth ang tunog nya.. mag ingat lang sa mga plastic screws nya madaling mabali..:D

Ganyan nga ang mga orig na Index. Ganyan din kasi ang 411 ko.

You can determine the Original and fake helmet, A)first check the shell by knocking the outer shell if the sound like plastic its defintely fake the sound of polucarbon, fiberglass are diff from palstic B) Second check the chin strap, C) Third you can ask your fellow rider to check their helmet to find which is original or not compare one another helmet with the same brand or name at least before you buy a helmet you can determine who's fake and original.

If the helmet you posted is fake so those index helmets that im selling in my store also fakes as well... if not its original i guess only the price is quite diffirent :O

asa tigas yan sir kasi yung isa kong nabiling index medyo malambot ang styro.... parehas sya ng model iba lang ng design.. wag nyo try ibagsak yan sa semento kasi mawawala na ang effectivity nyan during crash.....

Ang alam ko yung mga model 411 lahat walang "etiketa" sa loob, located yan sa tuktok ng ulo area kapag suot mo na yung helmet di ba. Yung other models (yung mas malalaki) yun talaga may mga etiketa. 411 ang gusto ko kasi siya yung pinaka-fit sa ulo ko kasi maliit lang ako.

anyway the only firm fact i can say here is the small index helmet, bilugan ang likod not flat, na sobrang nipis ng lining, yung sukat ng external shell parang pambata pero kasya sa matanda kase nga manipis ang loob, yun definitely china.

wala na halos difference ung fake at orig eh... tip ko lang bro kung konti lang difference ng price sa zeus or hjc ipon na lng ng konti mahirap na ulo pinaguusapan pag dating sa helmet kaya mas advise ko ung mga dot certified helmets. nkakita na kasi ko ng mga accidents na gamit ung mrc, index, lhk.
sabi nga ng tropa ko " buo helmet pero durog ung sa loob, o durog helmet pro buo ung sa loob" no offense sa mga index users ok ang index helmet kung mismong distributor ng index helmet ung bibilhan mo. or talagang galing thailand. minsan kasi we learn our lessons in a hard way, para malaman ang tama at mali.

Mga bossing ang styro foam sa helmet is designed to absorb impact in case of a fall or accident if it did not or as in the case matigas yung styrofoam your head will get the full impact. So do not press hard on it you are lessening its energy absorbing property.

you would not know the damage on it and it may not protect your head when real fall occur

tingin ko orig naman ung nabili mo bro. dati kasi ko may index 803. kaso nagpalit lang ako nung mabenta ko ung motor ko kasi parang di ako satisfied sa quality, (no offense po sa mga naka index din). madali kasi lumuwag ung foam nya eh, eh sukat naman sakin ung helmet and ako lang ang gumagamit kaya parang nagtataka ko, or maybe di lang maganda ung napunta na helmet sakin. now im using hjc cl-15 and satisfied naman ako.

u dont need to repalce it right away if its just a simple drop on the floor. over naman yan.. only if the helmet will experience a severe blow and if ever u havnt had a real fall for atleast 5 yrs u should also get a new helmet. and distroy the old one..:)

of course alam natin na mahirap ang panahon ngayon, and gusto natin makatipid as much as possible....but in this case kung makabili kayo ng fake...di rin kayo makakatipid...might as well buy from authorized dealers...
