Ph150.00 lang emission test ng ar80. nag renew ako last march nakapasa naman. bukod sa oil pump, naghahalo pa ako ng 2t sa gas, wala namang naging problema sa testing!

ic san ka nagpaemmision? kasi dun sa tayuman 300 siningil dun sa zxr400 ko eh :(

dito sa sta. maria bulacan, dito kasi nakaregister ar80 ko. ewan ko lang kung may kinalaman yung displacement sa presyo ng test. alam ko kasi sa mga sasakyan na yung Ph300, di pa kasi ako nakakarenew ng sa car ko kaya di ako sigurado!

Hi Guys! I'm new here in this forum, and i'm also newbie rider ever since i got my AR80k last january although i know how to ride since high school in the province. I got my AR from a friend. I can say that AR is really fast! although it only got a small displacement engine...

Sorry i cant post any pix of my AR though i can share my modifications.

1. replaced tires with wider ones 100/90 - 18 rear (barracuda)
90/90 - 17 front (Cheng-zen)
made some modifications with the rear mud guard attached to the swingarm and bent the metal rod that holds the drum brakes to the swing arm so that the rear tires would fit in.

wider tires are more stable, you wont easily slip when you run upon cracks, stones, even on wet road.

2. Painted the rims BLACK.

3. custom made fiberglass Flarings and cowlings - made them wider than the stock flarings and cowlings. coloured them BLACK

4. I Inverted my handlebars so it would be much lower ( though the rider would crouch more)

5. replaced the rear stop light with the one from Honda XRM
made a lot of modifications so the new light would fit.

Also removed the side seat flaring so the body tube would be exposed and replaced them with the one that would cover only the battery compartment and air filter.

6. removed the whole step bar assemblyfor the back rider attaced to the body

and more planned modiifications...

7. custom fiberglass gas tank cover - like one from ducati 916

8. custom fiberglass rear seat - like one from ducati 916 or Honda RCV211V

9. smaller rear sprocket - ( original has 48 teeth) maybe 46, 45?

though acceleration might be affected but will give more speed...

10. although I haven't made any modifications with the engine yet, I want to make it faster - any suggestions? re-bore, bigger carb?

11 Custom Silencer/ Muffler and re-angle them for more sleek profile. - Any Suggestions?

Regarding the twin undertail pipes, nai-fit nila yun sa ar80? maliit na kc clearance of the rear tires with the body. Are they going to contour the shape of the pipes to fit the body? Nice suggestion nga ang twin pipes na yan. I was just planning to replace the pipes with a single config ( cguro with a sleeker profile ) pero i am considering your suggestion How much kaya? San ung exact address?

The fiberglass cowling and flarings are made by MGM Fiberglass in Santolan, Pasig. (di pu ako nag aadvertise... hehe) cguro, dun na rin ako magpapagawa.

yup nafit nila :) ang they will make a new expansion chamber for u. check the dealers section and look for Guadini racing. they are located in Scout Gandia QC. just visited them last month on my AR and they told me lotsa mods for it :) good luck.

Yung width ng tire sa likod 110/90x18. Binawasan ko ang loob ng mud guard na nakakabit sa swing arm para mag-kasya ang tire, bend ko pati ung metal rod na naka-kabit sa drum brake para hindi sumayad ang tire. Tubeless na cya, Barracuda ang brand.

Dapat nga 120/90x18 ang ikakabit ko kaso baka sumayad na ang tire.

Disk Pads: I recently replaced my disk pads, I bought them from Kawasaki service center in P Tuazon Cubao ( beside Ali Mall), medyo mahal 1,395php. pero it is original stock. Ako na lang nagkabit kc medyo mahal charge nila sa installation... hehehe

Body works, yung fiberglass add-ons ko pinagagawa ko cya sa MGM Fiberglass sa Santolan, Pasig.
Ung ibang modifications sa body, ako na lang gumagawa (pinag-experimentuhan ko lang, minsan trial and error, hehehe).
Yung current cowling nya na double headlight balak ko nga palitan ng headlight ng dream excess eh (ipapagawa ko uli cya sa MGM fiberglass hehehe kulit no?)

Post mo din ung AR mo para makita ko rin...

Cguro, kailangan mo i-resize ung pix sa mas mababang width and height, gamit ka ng graphix tools na may pang-resize, problem ko dati din yan eh, i used IrfanView, puntahan mo tong site http://www.irfanview.com

mga tol, tagal ko na gusto magka AR80 kaya lang i doubt kc baka phase out na sya, mahirap na makahagilap ng parts lalo na sa mga province.. ok lang sana kung nasa manila kc dami surplus store dyan! ano masasabi nyo? help me nman.. ok pa ba yang mga yan?:C

Actually, phased out na ang AR80 medyo matagal na rin nga e, still may mabibili ka pa rin naman na parts sa kawasaki (K Servico) minsan i-order mo pa ito mula sa kanila, ung nga lang dito sa manila pa, and mahal din parts nito. We have just to take good care of our bikes para medyo matagal masira at minsan-minsan lang palit spare parts.

Maganda kc bihisan ang AR80, daming pwedeng i-modify sa kanya at gawing mukhang malaking sportbike.

And it is pretty fast for a small displacement cycle...

Question lang, may ina-adjust pa ba kayo sa settings ng fuel/2t oil para makapasa sa emission test?
kc napapansin ko na medyo mausok (blue ang usok) ang exhaust ng AR ko

Or normal lang un sa mga 2 stroke machines na mausok dahil sa 2t oil, may nagsabi kc sa kin na ok lang yun basta bluish ang usok.

the last year production of the ar80 was 97-98. after that phased out na. sayang nga eh di ko lam kung bakit. there were rumors before na magkakaron daw ng ar125. but di nirelease sa local market eh.

guys: sa taytay daming gumagawa ng fiberglass body for AR80, like fiberglass gas tank cover (for bigger looking gas tank), rear tail piece (ducati or R1 look alike), lower fairing, front fairing, fender (GP fender ganun yung sakin now :)). problema ko gusto ko yung parang R1 pero lumang model na daw yun. lhat daw ngayon parang ducati tail na. help baka may nakakaalam.

spawn: in my case ala akong ginawa. and my ar80 got a reading of .92 or .94 ata. pasadong pasado :) even if may konting white smoke yung ar ko :)

guys: there's an ar80 group na. i think they're based in rizal too :) dun kasi super dami ar80 eh :)

Ung R1 tail ang balak kung ipagawa nga eh, mas ok tingnan un. So if you want, you can have it made dun sa pinagagwaan ko ng mga fiberglass. See my earlier posts. Di ba you are from the Pasig area?

Problem ko din sa headlights ko, mahina talaga. kaya balak ko ngang ipa-modify ang cowling ko, ipapakabit ko ang headlight ng honda dream excess, single lang ung headlight, and tamang-tama ang shape nya sa cowling.

Rear shocks: I have no idea kung paano maging stiff cya. Pero balak ko pataasin ung rear ng AR ko, magkakabit ako ng lifter ( actually pa-dadagan ung metal na nagkakabit ng swing arm duon sa pivot ng rear shock - tanggalin ko un, then pa-dugtongan sa metal shop, )

Grabe, ang bilis nun 160-170, whew! I wish mapatakbo ko din AR ko ng ganun, kaso hanggang 80 lang me. hehehe

regarding sa rear shock, naitabi mo pa ba yung wrench na pasunod? yung close wrench isang side tapos eh parang spanner yung kabila, may nakapagsabi sa akin na yun ang pang adjust.
kung wala na sayo pwede ka gumamit ng kahit anong bakal na pwedeng ipantumbok dun sa pinaka adjustment sa ilalim nung spring ng shock, tsaka mo gagamitan ng martilyo. nakuha mo ba yong ibig ko sabihin?:? magulo yata explanation ko!:o
meron ng lumabas na kawasaki na upgrade ng ar, 125cc, 2 stroke pa rin! yung green pa rin kulay.

wala namang problema ar sa emission test. nung mag rehistro ako balak ko pang sakalin yung oil pump pero naisip ko bahala na tapos may halo pang 2T yung tanke ko pero wala naman problema! pasado pa rin!:D

R1 tails are still made by MGM. Marami silang Molde ng maraming model(ducati's, r1's, etc). You can visit them,from (galing Katipunan)Marcos Highway, right turn ka sa Santolan (ung sa LRT line 2 station), go straight, on the first kaliwa dun ka liko, tapos malapit na un MGM Fiberglass, right side sya, Maliit lang pwesto nila (u can ask d tricycle drivers for directions)

Headlights, twin rounds na cya, from YAMAHA cya (di ko maalala model), mahina talaga ung ilaw kc dalawa, naka parallel cya eh kaya hati ang bigay ng current. Napa-check ko na cya sabi ng mech na mahina talaga ang bigay na kuryente ng motor ( i dunno how to fix this problem)
Kaya papalitan ko cya ng headlight ng dream excess (bukas, sunday morning, I will be going to MGM to have the front cowling modified for the headlight)(open cla kahit sundays)
