Metal polish (Glo) wipe with soft cloth. Search other threads similar to your question.

sir, i have also the same problems with my helmets. i have 3 helmets and all of them are matte black and the cheapest one i have is an mhr 3/4 helmet it gets so scratched up so easily compared to my cl sp and my rf 1000. due to the finish of the helmet i just left it alone, any harsh chemicals would do more harm than good.

Others do it with toothpaste. If scratch is really deep seek services from people who make plastic signage,. They have this plastic buffer... but I tell you, your lens will get weaker and thinner.

sir check your helmet first, matte helmets are different from regular helmets as to its finish. like i have said earlier my mhr if it gets scratched its clearcoat is different from glossy helmet, it seems that the clearcoat itself gives it the matte appearance so polishing it would make it glossy. my hjc has the same case, it doesn't have any visible scratches but the scratches on the finish gives the helmet a glossy finish and for my shoei i haven't experienced any scratches so i can't really tell you on that. so in conclusion, i think the coating on matte helmets is the one that gives it it's matte finish. so it is up to you sir, you can always try sir samson's tip. just my two cents.
