That is one cheap helmet. Where is it made? China? Can it be trusted? I have an Arai and it costs me US$400. Pardon me but I wouldn't trust a helmet that costs US$40!:8

Gaijin, it's already been sold. But yeah it's pretty cheap. I was disapointed with it, which is why I sold it.

Btw, Arai helmets are really expensive. I don't support Arai and Japanese brands in general though.

The current helmet I'm using is Korean. And I also recommend Italian brands.

1. Only the 811 model of Index is DOT certified. Even the newer 911's don't have the certification.

Really. May be I'll just stick w/ HJC helmets brand. Cheaper a lot than Arai but it's dot approved and some dot/snell approved too.

Where are you located by the way? If you're familiar with Pasig, I have some friends selling Index helmets at reasonable prices!:) There are some stores around Marikina and Taytay selling those at lower prices din!

index helmets also sold at remcor motorcycles in 10th ave cor. a. de jesus in caloocan city. there are also plenty of motorcycle shops in caloocan carrying index helmets :) goodlcuk :)

check out the stores in caloocan. make sure it's either DOT/SNELL approved.

I'll check na lang with regards sa price... With regards to the chrome helmet, fulmer has that but as discussed thru text I am not sure about the sizing=b MMC member Ambel has the Large fulmer AF-S7, you might wanna visit the tambayan on Fridays so you can check the size.

Btw, can I have the exact model and price of the mesh jacket you bought? And also the amount you added for the upgrade in armor.

racepro, I just went to Ryan's Action Hobbies today and checked out the helmets. Puro Zeus lang nandun, nakabili ako ng full face na pwde mong i-lift yung front, including the visor. Ang advantage lang nito ay kung iinom ka, di mo na kailangan alisin yung whole helmet, just lift the front side, including visor.
Ryan sold it at 4200, I have an INDEX too, pero gusto kong i-try tong ZEUS. SHOEI is great kaya lang too much yung prize, the price ranges up to 20K.

Does anybody know if motorcycle shops also sell the metal part of the helmet strap? The one that goes into the lock. I have an Index helmet and that metal thing is already covered with rust.

I wish makabili kanang magandang helmet. Yung snug fit, comfortable at cheaper price. HJC brands palang ang ginagamit ko, pero I think I'll stick nalang sa ganoong brand, kasi nga comfortable at mura pa. Compare sa ibang Euro at US brands ang mahal. I think about P8K to P20K.:8

Actually balak kurin bumili ng helmet na open-face ZEUS brand. Sa specifications ng helmets na ganung brand I think ok naman ang mga ito (accdg. sa website nito), kasi meron din washable at removable ang pads at DOT approved AFAIK halos ang iba't ibang models.

Dapat kaibigan snug fit ang bilhin mo. Meron naman steps paano ma determine ang snug fit na helmet para sa iyo. Tanung mo si Mr. Ryan ng Action Hobbies.

Iniisip korin option ang HJC-AC3 model open-face helmet, kaso ngalang mas mahal. About P4K ito. Pero DOT/SNELL approved naman at removable and washable ang pads. Ganda rin ng ventilation.

BTW mas-recommended parin ang full-face, kasi more safer compare sa open-face.

btw yung medium size ng hjc cl-12 ay snug fit sa akin. Tamang tama lang. Yun kasi ang dati kong ginagamit kaso nasunog ngalang.

Pre, sa Handyman ng Shoemart merong mga locks na nabibili. Nasira kc yung lock ng HJC ko kya ko alam. Mura pa!
