View Full Version : POLE POSITION ADVANCE KNEE SHIN/GUARD or SCOYCO KO7
stalker January 24th, 2007, 10:14 AM gud day mga bro,
comment/s are highly appreciated.
thanks and more power.

TerminalHopper January 24th, 2007, 11:11 AM Bro you get what you pay for. Quality really does come at a price.
Almost bought Scoyco myself but several of my MC friends vehemently said not to.
Pole Position is a good brand.
Personally I like the Komine because of the Velcro that makes it easy and quick to put on and take off. But having real straps I guess is more secure for the long ride.
rjmvirgotaurus January 24th, 2007, 11:42 AM pole position is better mas mahal nga lang, advantage may pivot sa tuhod kaya nababaluktot, mas matagal lang ilagay iyong strap at saka mas mabigat. scoyco is also okay and less expensive. it is my first knee/shin - elbow protector madaling ilagay ang strap and on several skid i had experienced it save my knee and elbow from injury.
stalker January 24th, 2007, 11:57 AM @ sir TerminalHopper,
rjmvirgotaurus January 24th, 2007, 12:34 PM for me both of them are okay mas lagi kong ginagamit iyong scoyco for my everyday ride. just wear it properly and it will serve the purpose to protect your knee-shin and your elbow as well. it is better than nothing.
TerminalHopper January 24th, 2007, 04:19 PM Yes the Scoyco is better then nothing, but since you have budget for pole position go for it!
Pole is a good brand! Personal preference ko lang ang komine :)
stalker January 24th, 2007, 04:31 PM @ sir rjmvirgotaurus,
@ sir TerminalHopper,
ok thanks po uli
Wesley_martin January 24th, 2007, 04:47 PM POLE POSITION for me... :)
rjmvirgotaurus January 24th, 2007, 04:54 PM @stalker,
the scoyco model i have is K06 may kasamang siyang elbow protector. i am not sure with model K07 baka nga knee - shin protector lang. go for pole position it is a good choice.
neozeke January 24th, 2007, 04:59 PM Bro, both knee guards are good... both can save your knees... but for me, I prefer pole position... thanks...
stalker January 24th, 2007, 06:14 PM @ sir Wesley_martin,
is this d one ur using right now, any comment or feedback :D :D
@ sir rjmvirgotaurus'
ok sir copy that,
@ sir neozeke,
Col.TED January 24th, 2007, 10:33 PM POLE POSITION Advance Knee Guard for me!!:)
sealander January 24th, 2007, 10:49 PM i'm using scoyco k07. satisfied naman ako. may pivot din ito kaya sumasabay when you bend your knee. although wala sya kasama na elbow guards. yung may kasamang elbow guards ay yung K06 at K02 (pero thses two don't have pivots). meron nyan sa Exceed motors. look for Allan (accs) mcp forumer sya. he gives discounts to MCP forumers. just wear them properly and it will do it's job of protecting your knees/shin. it's better than nothing. but if I (and you) have more moolah to spend then go for the Sinisalo brand.

Wesley_martin January 25th, 2007, 08:20 AM @ sir Wesley_martin,

yup! Elbow guard/protector is not included.. you can buy Pole Position elbow guard around P700 to P850.. COMMENT?.. Super sulit ang pera pinambili ko.. :) :*
Wesley_martin January 25th, 2007, 08:21 AM mga bro magkano po ba ung back protector ng pole position
Pole position back protector price range P1,500 to P1,800...:)
enoch January 25th, 2007, 08:40 AM Bro, I was in the market for knee/shin protectors a while back. Although, my choices were between pole and komine. I got the Komine and so far satisfied ako sa kanya. However, I also got good comments for pole position. You can visit this thread:
http://www.motorcyclephilippines.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69327
Ichthus Janz January 25th, 2007, 09:26 AM My personal choices between the various brands
Pole Position over Scoyco, Komine over Pole Position, but if you have a 1,500Php budget, go for Komine, they are more comfty, stable and the hard plastic material looks more durable.
I just bought a knee/shin guard last week but I picked-up the Fox Raptor series over Komine. Like the Pole Position Advance and Scoyco K07 the knee part is hinged for better flexibility. The comfort liners are also removeable and washable, not to mention that the ventilation on the Raptor is very good.

stalker January 25th, 2007, 09:52 AM @ sir Col TED,
ok copy that sir, thanks :)
@ sir badboys,

Sir the Raptor doesn't come with elbow guards, its little pricey for $64 (3,000Php), a fox gear dealer here sold it for 40% discount. Teka hanapin ko yung contact numbers the try to call them kung may stocks pa. Or you can try looking at Cartimar Pasay, dun sa mga Bike dealers.

badboys January 26th, 2007, 10:43 PM ako i use my pole position inside my pants so hindi cya umiikot at kapit na kapit cya, meron din cya ventillation pra di cya msydo mainit. pero hindi po detachable ung paddings nya.
badboys January 26th, 2007, 10:45 PM yup! Elbow guard/protector is not included.. you can buy Pole Position elbow guard around P700 to P850.. COMMENT?.. Super sulit ang pera pinambili ko.. :) :*
question po...
as for the ko7, it has very similar features ng advanced knee/shin guard ng pole position, pero mas madaling ilakad ito at pwede isuot sa loob ng pants.
i also saw in caloocan a very similar product (in terms of design and construction) described above yung fox raptor, pero knighthood ang tatak. not sure though about the price, but if i remember it correctly, it is somewhere +/- P1500 ata.

OT:
sir, by the way regards nga pla sa M2C, sana pag libre ako makasama ako uli sa lakad nyo kahit marilaque lang uli, :D :D :D
