Mga sir, need your suggestion... AFAIK, pareho silang Asian made... :D
Ano po ok taken into consideration: SAFETY, PRICE, PARTS and DURABILITY?
Hope you could help me coz I'm planning to buy another one. I'm presently using spyder panther helmet.
TIA

bro...i used to have an HJC CL14, and have used the following Zeus helmets as well...508W, 803, 2000,and still have the Z2000A....i suggest you go for HJC....for the following reasons...
1. HJC have better EPS (Expanded Polystyrene liner)
2. Faceshield is of better quality
3. Quiet and very comfortable

I personally prefer HJC and got myself a CL12, the padding is good and I can still wear my RP shades inside my helmet without discomfort.

Count me in! . 4 yrs ago when I still have my CBR600 Im using my HJC (forgot the exact model) buth then I sold it together with the bike due to financial crisis. Now that I have my baby I also bought new helmet. HJC CS-12 road fighter series.. I just love the snug fit and comfort it gives to me..:)

I own both, bale I have 2 ZEUS and one HJC, all are modular.

Difference is that HJC's ventilation is better than of that the zeus, either the 508 or the 508w, HJC's is better. then the visor of HJC is more easier to open that of the Zeus, with the latter parang mal***** ang visor pag ni open eh.

and yes, i would agree that the fit of the HJC is better, parang mas snug, though napansin ko lang parang mas malakas ang wind noice sa HJC, though it comes with ear foams naman; plus yung screws ng zeus pala, laging natatanggal.

i think its also available sa full throttle.

it can go either way... depending on model, both have spare shields available... both are readily available in varying sizes... both claim certification... it really depends on the fit and feel of each helmet on your head... go out and try both...

as for shades, i recommend you just get a smoked lens rather than wear shades inside your helmet...

Hello! No doubt that HJC is definitely one of the most popular brands in the world!

But why choose a Zeus Helmet?
1) Safety Standards - All Zeus Helmets sold here have the ECE22.05 approval, the standard which is the most widely used in the world. Actually, not all ECE, DOT, or Snell helmets in other countries necessarily mean that they are sold here with those ratings. Check your helmet. :)

2) Widest size range - Most Zeus helmets are available from XS to XL. Some models are available up to XXXL (like the 508 and 508W) so that means you can find a Zeus helmet just right for you.

3) Spare parts availability - All Zeus helmets have spare visors from clear to smoke to iridium. Popular models even have spare liners available for sale.

4) International exposure - Just do a search especially on some famous European helmet brands. You'll be surprised to know that quite a number of them are actually produced by Zeus.

5) Value for money - Zeus helmets contain technical features normally found in more expensive helmets at a lower price point.

6) Active distributor support - For technical queries or referrals where to buy a Zeus helmet, you can contact Motoworld at 7440300.

Thanks!

Hello sir,

For 2007, we will initially be having (starting March)...

1) Fiber-composite full face helmet (Model 1100) - Very lightweight with added safety and at an affordable price
2) New MX helmet (Model 905B) - Very stylish and still affordable

For other new models, siguro mga later this year pa...

Thanks for your interest :)

ano ba mas magaan?
i have also read from somewhere about the HJC visor opening freely at high speeds (150 kph at least).. any first hand experience? how about ZEUS? i have a ZEUS 508w that I really want to replace because i don't wanna risk on the modulars at these speeds. di ko lang alam kung ano mas mganda sa dalawa coz i haven't tried the HJC.

if you want to check out the reviews of some of the helmets around...check on this site http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-helmets/motorcycle-helmets.htm

i found out from that site that there is not even one modular helmet that is snell accredited. not even the Shoei Syncrotec...

Your talking about the CL 12 HJC model bro, yes some people say the faceshields open freely at a certain speed, but that happens if you haven't properly installed the face shield.

If you want product reviews from actual bikers try the site Sir Doomzday recommended or you ca laso visit www.motorcyclegearreview.com

sir i've compared helmets with a friend who had a zeus 508w and my hjc cl-sp... i know this is comparing apples to oranges but as far as for looks hjc won hands down, for quality of materials and liners still goes for hjc, and for comfort and quiet while driving all hands down to hjc. the good thing about zues was it is a modular helmet... putting on your sunglasses is quite a breeze and looks cool when you open it, it amazes alot of people who are not familiar with modular helmets. i'll put my moneys' worth on hjc... just my two cents. no flame intended to zeus owners.

Hmm...I dunno why but I always see people comparing the Zeus 508W to just about everything else in the market. The Zeus 508W is a modular helmet (not standard full face) and its just one of the helmets in the Zeus range. We also have fullface helmets like the 803, 2000, 2000A, 2100, and soon, the 1100 fiber composite helmet.

A better comparison for the CL-SP would be PC or poly-composite fullface helmets like 2000, 2000A, or 2100. But of course, you also have to consider that all these Zeus helmets cost way less than the CL-SP :)

now i have a CL15 yellow. bought it for 4.5k.. great paddings. great airflow and vents. fully removable/washable pads. snap for the chinstrap. nice graphics. anti-fog lens. snell approved..

I have owned a HJC CL14, and currently use a Zeus 508w.

The HJC wins on quality of construction, strength and sturdiness.
508W wins on comfort and ease of use because of its modular design.

HJC feels and looks like a real helmet, whereas the Zeus feels more like a toy (Vinyl coating on neckguard starts to crack and fall off after a few months of daily use).
You get what you pay for i suppose.
The HJC did feel like overkill unless on a long ride, whereas I can wear the Zeus on a long ride on my KMX125, or just a palengke run on my Honda Wave, without feeling like a plonker :)
Quick release chin strap on the Zeus is useful for short trips, whereas the strap on the HJC, although stronger, is a real pain to fasten and open again.
Cheek pads on the CL14 were very snug fitting for my taste, and could be uncomfortable in our hot climate. The 508W is much more forgiving in this department.

Like Ryan said, they are different price range helmets, appealing to different markets. Golden rule is... whatever helmet you buy....make sure it fits and feels right for you.
You could have the best helmet in the world, but if you dont wear it, or dont feel comfortable wearing it, its useless.

Amen to that. Bear in mind that you only have ONE head to protect.

Also, RYAN is correct. Why is everyone comparing a "Modular" Helmet to a "Full Face" Helmet?!?! Its comparing Apples & Oranges in my point of view. Make it a comparison of the Modular like the Symax, Syncrotec, FFR, etc... Duhh....
