consider 661 knee guards matched with boots that already have shin armor like sidi vertebra or vertigo... that combination beats out the knee/shin guards out there... the 661 guards have much thicker and better absorbing padding material than the komine/pole position ones...

i've switched to them just a few weeks ago and they're more comfortable while making me feel more secure...

gentlemen, thanks for the reply. 611 looks good but i am currently lock into thse 2 brands because of availablity and price range. My hesitation in actually buying one over the other is that I just want to get some feedbacks from actual users of both brands.
Kasi po I fitted both brands and yung pole position may tendency na umikot sa shin ko while the komine ok yung fit- snug or comfortably tight sya.

Right now I am 90% inclined in getting Komine. Although, am still waiting from a post that may change my mind aboput pole position.

the 661 is only 1,000 +... best of all, they end right where the boot tops out... so the fit is perfect for me...

the komine and pole position ones have decent plastic cups (which spreads the impact force over it's area) but the padding (which will be the one absorbing the impact) is really really thin compared to the 661 dj's... worse, if you wear boots, they have to be inside the boot to be of any use... this can be uncomfortable... i know because i have the komine knee/shin protectors as well as the pole position knee/shin protectors... the pp one's i have is the one with the hinged knee... both of them tend to cramp up my lower leg when i wear them with my boots... if i wear them on top of the boot, i don't think they'll do their job very well...

ive been using the pole position knee/shin guards (not advanced). they have a snug fit on my shins and doesnt rotate even if i move a lot. one comment is, it has 3 straps which i find the topmost strap annoying at the back of my leg when i fold my legs. it hurts! any tips? but nonetheless, though i have not crashed on them yet , i believe they can provide you enough protection.

i'm using the komine brand pero yung old model pero mas maganda yung old model ng pole position na knee/shin protector (hindi yung advance) kasi malaki yung pads nya kaya pati yung binti mo hanggang likod eh may protection.

i'm also using the same knee/shin protector. walang problema sa third strap (pinaka mataas) nya kasi double yun. mas malambot yung nasa loob. :D

when yo are in the store going to buy those gears, why not try to fit the two gears you are comparing, then buy the gear that fits well... its not with the looks, its with how it fits you well. Remember they are protective gears that will prevent you from any ailments... Dont go for fashion, go for safety...
