My XXL full face (Zeus) wont fit in my scooter compartment but I cant leave it just hanging in my helmet hook. How do I secure it to my scoot if I want to leave my helmet with my bike? Any aftermarket device / lock you can recommend aside from the bicycle cable locks?

yes, these guys are right- bring it wherever you go! In my case, I put it in the helmet bag then put in in my backpack. the helmet is the most significant gear you'll ever own for your entire riding life...

They're right! Just bring it. If your lid is a Zeus modular you can't chain it with your bike. The thief will just unscrew the nuts of the flipping part then... wala!!! Wala ka ng helmet.

I carry a helmet bag or backpack so I can bring my HJC wherever I go. Or better yet carry you helmet the way an Airforce pilot does (cradle on your side with one arm, face shield facing your armpit for protection), astig pa tignan at mukhang aral ka na motorcyclist.

May isang solution, mag install ka ng topbox sa scooter mo na kasya helmet para may lagayan ka na kung ayaw mo na bitbit palagi. Medyo expensive pero effective.:)

just like the rest...i don't leave my helmet on my bike...i carry it with me using the carrying bag/pouch.

don't mind whatever people may say or think...just remember, your helmet will take care of you...that is if, you take care of it....

Ako I also, carry my helmet kasi mainit sa mata kung iwan mo sa motor mo. Also, kung matagal ka mag-papark inillagay ko sa helmet bag (kasama nung Zues helmet ko nung binili) saka ko bitbitin, kasi kung walang cover yung helmet maaring magasgas. Naalala ko nung bago pa yung helmet ko, may lumapit sa akin sabi ang ganda daw helmet ko, kung pede daw hawakan, binigay ko naman kaso sa kahahaplos nya gumagas yung singsing nya sa face shield-- mukmuk na lang ako ng mukmuk sa inis sa kanya!

Never leave helmet. Kung mahal nyo helmet nyo, dalhin nyo nalang sa lakad nyo.:)

Thanks for the replies guys and I dont want to seem hard headed about not following your advises about bringing the helmet with you. I read in the Scooterista Magazine's article 150cc scooter shootout that the PGO TREX has a lockable helmet hook. I was just wondering if that can be bought as an accessory.

yup, never leave your helmet in your mc's. wag nyo ko gayahin. ako nag-iiwan ng helmet sa motot (sa basment parking ng ofis) hehe..
pero sa ibang lugar, o hinde na! dalhin ko na lang. :D

Kung ayaw mo talaga mag dala merong maraming options bro but it may not be enough to deter theft. Meron mula sa simple lang to the practical to the paranoid locks like Kryponites (that is if you dont mind the weight) A very simple helmet locking mechanism like you read on the magazine might not do the job bro kaya check this out:

common helmet locking mechanism are designed to lock the helmet by using the D-ring...which is useless if the theif decides to cut your helmets strap...if you really want to leave your helmet on your bike...run the cable lock into your helmets face opening...(that is if you're using a full face helmet) to make sure it stays with your bike....but with the pros and cons of doing this....i still stand by my previous suggestion...bring it with you....

prevention is better than cure.... never leave your helmet khit anung lock ang ikabit mo dyan pagnanakawin e magagawan ng paraan.. . besides marami ng mga ngmomotor ngayon so hindi na odd pag may bitbit kang helmet ... magmumukha k pa ngang cool ... hehehe!!!

Bring your helmet with you. Kung nanakawin talaga ang helmet natin ay gagawa sila ng paraan kahit masira na yung helmet pati na rin yung bike natin.

Sa church namin nai-iwan ko pa ang helmet ko sa mismong motor ko. Yung D ring nito hinu-hook ko mismo sa helmet hook ng motor ko. Mukhang safe pang iwan dito pero sa mga malls or ibang lugar I think dapat ko narin bitbitin ito...

reason number one... when you park even if it is a payed parking area, you can't tell na it is fully secured. why? paano kung pagbalik mo andun pa nga ang helmet mo pero paano kung may gasgas na ito? ok lang sana kung sa shell ang ang gasgas, paano kung sa face shield?

reason number two... there is no such thing as secured parling area... parking attendants can't focus on one mc alone...

reason number three... weather changes every second of the day... pwedeng mainit pag park mo, pagbalik mo katatapos lang ng ulan... kumusta naman ang basang helmet...

IMHO lang ito mga sir... mas mabuti na na mangalay na bitbit ang helmet mo kaysa mangalay ang bulsa mo...

Covenient parin talaga ang meron maxi scooter or bigger compartment na kasyang kasya ang expensive standard full face helmet... Naisip ko lang... Kapag naka underbone I think no choice kasi dapat dalhin ang helmet lalo na kapag umulan/maulan...

ako inilagay ko sa helmet bag nya at isabit parang shoulder bag kapag nasa mall o kapag maiyan ko motor ko ng matagaltagal na hindi ko makikita..
talagang mahal natin yung helmet natin ano? kasi may nakita po akong naka park sa mall nun, parang kano ata ang mayari nun. isinablay lang nya sa side mirror ng kanyang xl200 yung nolan helmet nya. ang mahal pa naman ng mga nolan. pati nga ako nakapagiisip ng masama. hehehe

i guess i'll be sticking with this one for a long time...finally found the helmet with the perfect fit, comfort & style i was looking for....

Never kong iniiwan ang helmet ko sa bike.... nawalan na kasi ako eh... hindi ako nagiiwan ng helmet sa parking.

I use a Zeus half face helmet for manila driving because it is the only Zeus that will fit in my scooters compartment :D

I know that full face helmets are the safest, but mind you this is not a cruiser style half head helmet, but a DOT certified full head helmet, just with out that chin part.
