here are some other things you need to consider:
1. Helmet type:
a) Full Face
b) Open face
c) Modular
2. Budget.....

if you can add a bit to your budget...you could get a Zeus 803 for about P2k...

for me i think the best helmet is what's suits our needs and also to our bujet..

sir, if you have money to spare, i suggest you buy helmets with good quality :D i bought an HJC CL14 for 4thousand pero hindi ako nanghinayang bilhin kasi i know that it WILL protect my head just in case :D so mas maganda mag invest muna sa safety gears :D believe me, it'll be worth it ;)

FM w10 helmet gamit ko maganda quality but a bit costly, pero sulit naman and served its purpose well.... cost me 9.8K thats 2years ago ... you can check out caloocan sales if want

Anyone heard of the Z1R helmets, may distributor ba d2 nyan? Read in one of the motorcycle sites that its one of the best helmets available and for a very reasonable price.

Bro I got a Zeus 803 helmet and so far on its price (P2K) sya yung best IMHO. I first got an Index Helmet for 1.4K, that's my first helmet since i got my bike last year. However, comparing it to Zeus, parang ang nipis ng EPS at padding ng Index-- saka tulad ng sabi nila madaming fake na Index helmets ngayon.

Ang tawag dun "Modular" Helmets. Its a full faced helmet pero it can be fliipped open into a half face.I havent tried one of these personally but i guess it has its own advantages and disadvantages.Heres an example:

Ang mapapayo ko lang is to buy a Full Faced Helmet Go for a DOT/Snell certified One.Medyo mahal nga lang ng konti but you can be assured of quality and protection.Your investment will be worth every cent.:banana:
With regards to helmet fit, the best way is isukat mo sa tindahan.Dapat very snug o medyo masikip para kakalog-kalog ang ulo mo.You should be in the Large-XL range. Good Luck!

ahhh thanks. yan pala itsura nun. honestly, nakakuha na ako ng motor pero ni isang helmet ala pa ako nabibili. ahihihi. :D

siguro saka na ako bili pag ready na ung motor ko pang service to makati. for registration pa kasi sa ngayon at student pa lang license ko. :)

Modular Helmet nga bro...just like the pics that was posted....

Do take note though...that modular helmets are to be locked when in use.....i see a lot of modular helmet users who ride with the front portion open....which is not the proper way of using this type of helmet....

Its scary to see lots of riders out there wearing flimsy skull caps, some careless enough to style it backwards, caps underneath, etc.. Go for DOT certified helmets. Even so, lots of big name companies fail at government tests in Europe. 8 out 10 helmets crack on impact. I know of a guy whose full face helmet caved in and they had to saw it open in the surgery room. The plastic glass pierced his eyes. The best way to guage the situation would be if your head is only worth P300. Or you'd rather lay some hospital in a coma.

Manila roads are NOT the best place to skimp on safety guys.

DOT certified dapat para tibay at subok na. may nabasa ako dito na thread na na aksidente daw sha at nasagasaan ung ulo nya buti na lang hindi bumigay ung helmet nya kung hindi pirat sana. HJC ung helmet nya.

So HJC na lang bibilhin ko. ingats lang sa mga fake. :banana:

now i'm using schuberth C2 advanced flip-up helmet... padala sa akin from Germany... happy ako dito sa helmet na ito... :)

Ang ganda ng helmet mo sir! carbon fiber po ba siya? I am planning to have an HJC CL-14. Hinihintay lang ang budget. It is better to invest first on your safety, to follow na lang ang mc upgrades!

The name of this Helmet is the Mono Convertible from Arrow helmets of North Carolina.I havent tried using one of these personally,the pics are just for illustrative purposes only.I think maganda din ang modulars just be sure its firmly locked down when riding. Im using the KBC-TK8 bro and im very satisfied.:rolleyes:
