Ang gagaling ng mga products coming from China ngayon, specially yung clone and knock-offs ng mga European and US brands. You can hardly tell the difference.

Dati mga ladies bag lang, ngayon pati protective gear may Class A, class B and so forth. Tulong naman mga bros. How can you tell if a Joe Rocket riding jacket is for real or imitation lang?

Please give pointers in what to look for in tags, stitching, etc.

Kung new sana madaling malaman, papaano kapag sinabing slightly used na.

Thanks bros...

the joe rockets have a factory in china and korea. So dont be surprised if the tags says made in china (or korea). But don't worry, coz the quality of these products are as good as what you can expect from a joe rocket jacket.

the original joe rockets have the tags that says so, i think the mesh jackets also comes with the inner liner, and a spare buttons are also provided.
mostly, they also come with dual density armor pads as standard inclusion, (these are the removable pads that are colored blue).

As for the class A, mesh jackets i have seen, these are the ones that has the reflective "ELF" markings on the velcro straps located at the side/waist part. these can be had for a price lower that the original joe rockets around.

if you want to be sure you get the real thing, get them from the reputable dealers like JT Triumph.

Thanks for the great info chief. One my buddies has referred me to his friend selling a used JR jacket (his friend alreday sold his bike). I dont quite remember the model, but its a combination of perforated textile and leather. I just wanna to make sure that I'm getting the real thing.

Any other tell tale signs. Thanks Sir Juno.

if it's a combination of leather and mesh, it must be the joe rocket REACTOR. wala pa naman ako nakitang imitation or class A ng ganitong model ng JR.

it's a good model, cool and sturdy to wear. medyo maselan lang alagaan unlike the full mesh JR jackets dahil nga sa leather part. masama kasi sa leather pag laging nilalabhan. actually leathers should not be washed. but since mesh and leather combi yun, mahirap wash yung mesh part lang, then pahid pahid lang yung leather part. yung iba ang ginagawa eh dry clean na lang but the labels on the JR leathers does not recommend such. in any case, i still like that leather-mesh combi ng JR series na yan. its a good jacket after all.

kung reactor nga yan, panalo yan bro. kunin mo na yan. siguro sa presyo na lang kayo magkakatalo. a net search for joe rocket reactor 1, should be around USD80.00 sold in some sites plus shipping cost. so you have an idea how much this one goes.

i have to agree with sir Juno... it is made in china but the materials are from the US... just like my AGV mesh jacket, baught it from the US but it is made in pakistan... the real Joe Rockets don't have elf on the velcro straps on the waist (for the Rio/mesh type)... normally, the EVA foam (removable) protectors are colored blue... aside from the EVA foam, the jacket itself have protective, non-removable foams for the shoulder, elbow and the back... JR mesh jackets normally dont have a liner because it is being sold separately but a free button and a sticker comes with the jacket... as for the leather jackets, not quite sure... but i think you can tell just by the smell of it:D

hth..;)

sa presyo pa lang magduda ka na.....original JR jackets usually starts P7k & up........Drytech liners are priced at P2k up.......yung mga avail na mesh jack imitations here...wala kang makikitang ganyang model mismo sa website or catalogue ng Joe Rocket.....para kasi syang mixed up version ng JR Ballistic, Phoenix & Rio models:)

Salamat po sa mga tips. I'll double check these details kapag nakita na kami nung seller. So the only idea i have about the jacket is thru descriptions in text messages.

God speed...
