Hi guys,

I'm typically a newbie in the MC arena. I have a 8 month old Honda Wave 125 and I wish to upgrade or change the horn to a louder one. Pwede kaya yun without compromising the overall MC electrical setup? I heard the Wave Alpha models have louder horns.

What do you suggest? Where do I get it? Free installation? How much kaya aabutin.

marami sa mga stores sa Taytay, Rizal caters branded horns like Bosch, Hella, and those that are used by police cars (bawal nga lang). I got the Hella for my Wave Alpha for P400 with P100 installation fee. A store in Taytay (Racing Plus) has the Bosch (dual horn - shell type), maganda tunog niya like the ones used in cars, sells for P850 including installation.:)

Abe214, mag snail horns ka, ok lang consumption sa kuryente. Yan ang gamit ko.

Dalwa dapat, yung low at high tone. Ang lakas. Parang yung mga malalaking Jeep sa divisoria. :D

medyo mahal nga ng konti dyan sa taytay e.. 330 lng po dun sa tabi ni alvins pizza..

look for type-r hi/lo snail type horns(2pc). it is normally about P250-280 sa mga auto shops. it comes with a free relay na kelangan mo gamitin para di ma-discharge battery mo or masunog horn switch mo.

installation:
use the original wire for stock horn. 1 is positive, the other is ground. find the positive and then series it with both horns(see diagram on horns' box). connect ground with screws at the back of the horn. no need to series kasi common yon.

feedback:
very neat. you couldn't tell upfront whether it's bosch or type-r.

:8 sir, try mo pumunta sa megamall bldg a. there's an auto shop near the cr and they have shell type horns for only 200+. mejo hindi ko kilala yong tatak pero malakas na and sounds like type r or bosch already. i forgot the shop's name eh basta ito yong nasa dulo, not concorde ha.

how do I install the relay? I'm a newbie on electrical thingy (I flunked high school electronics :crazy: :crazy: )

you can normally find wiring instructions on the box/packaging of the horns. if not, search for "mini-relay wiring diagram" kasi i can't attach what i found eh. sori.

if you get 5-pegged relay, pm mo ko. check ko yong sa cub ko.

Gaano kalaki ang horns na ito, bro? Just went to Banaue and found a pair of Stebel Magnum 2 at P650 incldg installation pero wala daw paglalagyan sa front Wave S ko.

Mga Bro, naka bili ako nung stebel na horn and pina kabit ko sa mga gumgawa ng motor..ang problema kapag nilagyan nung relay at kapag naka on na yung motor eh bumubusina kaagad kahit walang pumupindot sa horn..halos masira na nga yung ulo nila kakaisip pero wala silang nagawa kaya kinabit na lang nila sa original na linya nung busina at wala ng relay..ang sabi nila na may built in na relay na daw yung stock kaya hindi na daw kailangan kabitan ng relay?? Yung cub ko is a honda XRM, hindi kaya masira o masunog yung horn switch ko?? TY

Baligtad ang wring ng relay mo, instead na positive ang bat, dapat negative.balgtadin mo din yung sa horn.Ganyan din nagnyari nung nagkabit ako ng tyoe R na horn.

Bawal na ang sobrang lakas na horn sa sobrang liit na skuter. share ko lang.

Bro try mo ilabas/adjust yung opening nung horn para hindi tinatakpan nung tuka, reflected ng tuka yung lakas ng horn kaya madidinig din ng rider yung tindi ng horn. :)

Can anybody post how to install the stebel magnum hi/lo horn to a honda XRM? wala kasi akong nakitang mounting bracket na kasama nung horn. Tsaka anong gauge ng wire ang kailangan gamitin to accomodate the higher power draw?

i think there is enough space on the sides of xrm para sa stebel horn.. yung bracket, try mo magpamachine shop n lng ng metal bracket na pwede mo ikabit sa side ng xrm mo..

wire gauge - yung kasing laki ng wire na gamit sa mc mo para consistent yung current flow..
