Marami akong nakikita na mga motorcyclist na may suot na baseball cap under their helmet. Anu ang purpose nite? Gumagamit ba kayo nito?

ako, bro, hindi gumagamit ng cap under the helmet.
IMHO, those who use a cap prefer a snug fit of the helmet . . . can also be hygiene related if they share helmets.:D

ako pre gumagamit nang cap kasi para masecure ang buhok ko sa bangs nangagati kasi ako sa pag bumababa sa face ok just to have firm hair position yun lang lalot malayuang biyahe either caps or bonet or head bands basta walang hair around my face that the reason bro

di ko rin lam purpose nito... pero if the reason is dahil sa buhok... then i suggest you use balaclava instead

madalas sa mga messenger yan nag hi2raman ng helmet,maaring maluwang yung helmet o sadyang mabaho na at malagkit...yaikkk!...

aku gumagamit din aku bull cap at any ride... at balaclava para sa ayus ng buhok.. yung cap para msikip ang helmet... :D

aku ganito ginagawa ku.. balaclava sa face tapos bullcap(nakatalikod) then helmet(nag iipon pa kasi para makabili ng snug na snug fit sa akin..:D)...

minsan gumamit na ko ng cap at helmet. ang purpose ko lang e di lang pra sa buhok, kundi pra na din sa batok pag tanghaling tapat ka magra-ride. pra di sobrang init sa batok. ginagamit ko lang to pag nka half-shell helmet lang ako.

Pinoy talaga oh.....maipilit lang ang gusto even compromising their own safety.....kaya nga ang primary requirement when buying a helmet is that it should be "snug- fit"..........so bakit ka bibili ng medyo maluwag na helmet na kelangan pa ng bull cap on it para lang mag fit.......why not use a balaclava instead?...it saves your helmet from foul odor, pawis and your neck line from sun burns:)


Finding the correct size of helmet:

A correctly fitting new helmet will have the following attributes once on.

1) As you initially pull it on it will feel much too small. Use the chin straps to pull the sides of the helmet apart as you pull (not slip!) it on.

2) Once on, it will still feel a bit too small. People new to biking will naturally want to choose a helmet one size too big as they are unaccustomed to the closed-in sensation. This sensation will go away!!

3) Once on, grasp the helmet with both hands and try to move it side to side and up and down. Your skin should move with the helmet.

4) A correctly fitted helmet will start directly above the eyebrows.

5) Secure the chin strap. Leave the helmet on for a least 5 minutes in order to feel for excessive pressure at particular points. A well fitting helmet should place even pressure throughout. In the shop you may feel claustrophobic doing this. Don't worry! this sensation will probably vanish once you are on the road.

6) The soft inner of the helmet will mould to your head and face over time - this is why it is important to choose a snug fit when you purchase it.

7) Try on a number of different makes as each have their own particular idiosyncrasies - just like the shape of your head. There are basic dimension differences between European, American and Japanese heads - there are reasons for this but we won't go there!!

diba may bakal sa tuktok yung nga bullcap na parang butones?..e di upon impact babaon pa sa ulo mo yun..saka hindi naman abot sa cheeks yung bullcap diba?.. sa tutktok lang masikip pero sa cheeks ganun parin maluwag..

Baseball caps under a helmet pose the same problems as thicker hairdos. The thickness of the cap and its sweatband, as well as the bill of the cap, interfere with the fit of the helmet. In addition, many baseball caps have a steel ball in the button on the top. That ball causes all the same problems as the beads on the hair. If beads are included, they are a potential impact hazard. They may of course shatter in a fall if they are brittle enough and hollow. The shards could cut the scalp. More serious injury might result, however, if the beads did not shatter but instead concentrated the force of the blow on one spot. The helmet is designed to spread out that force to prevent the skull from fracturing. Concentrated impact force from the beads could fracture the skull, and could transmit more g's to the brain whether or not the skull fractures. Caps without the ball are less problematic. Just fit the helmet with the cap on, and make sure the straps are properly adjusted. Of course, if you ride without the cap you need to adjust the helmet again.

if your helmet doesn't give you that snug fit, better get a new one.

karaniwan sa nakikita kong may bullcap sa loob ng helmet eh walang visor at hindi naka lock yung chin strap. very convinient nga sa suot at paghuhubad ng helmet tapos sabay suksok sa side mirror.hehehe. wala ngang ka-effort effort magsuot at maghubad ng helmet parang pinapatong lang!hehehe samantalang ako sobrang tagal kasi suot bonet...suot snug fit na helmet tapos D-ring pa yung strap.

helmets' effectivity is lessened with a cap in it.

i see many compromise safety for first-wear comfort by purchasing helmet snug-UNfit, unless helmets were purchased on their behalf :P
so on topic... well i dont wear cap under my helmet coz there is no room for any, its snug right and fit, and for sweating, i let it be, i think my head got accustomed to the heat inside the helmet :P
