hi,

i know people out there own one. i kinda need your views on what's the best street glove perfect for the climate here in the philippines. i think wearing gloves is one way of stopping your palms to get thickier due to the gripping of your bike.

thanks...

Ei Dude!

Welcome to the forums!:D You're definitely right! Gloves are a must for every rider not just for the palms but for protection from other elements as well...

There are a LOT of gloves out there in the market and choosing one depends on your riding style and of course... your budget:I

Don't worry about your palms getting thicker... sa mga nag mountain bike at road bike lang yan! :D When you are on a motorcycle, you shouldn't be gripping the bars to tight in the first place... so relax, your palms won't harden if you're doing it right.
Besides, this should not even be the primary reason why you need to wear gloves... abrasion from handle bars and grips should be the least of your problems! ;)

Gloves with vents at the knuckles and finger bones, in my opinion, would be the minimum one should go when it comes to glove ventilation. Mesh-type or other forms of semi-open gloves afford almost ZERO protection in the event of a spill.

Best also to get gloves that have some sort of wrist strap to prevent your gloves from sliding off your hands.

Goodluck and Happy New Year.
