Recently my friends noticed that my hair on the top of my (bumbunan) head was thinning. I use a helmet almost everyday and I am wearing a helmet at least 4-5 hours a day.

I don't know but maybe the heat inside the helmet is causing all this. Is this true? Does constant wearing of a helmet cause baldness?

...kasi kinalbo ko sarili ko :O nasasarapan kasi ako mag helmet pag kalbo. walang buhok na aayusin, walang buhok na magugulo. :)

Bilanggin nyo kung ilan ang numinipis o nakakalbo na riders ng shakeys, pizza hut, chow king, jolibee, mc do...pag may nabilang kayo na mahigit 5...malamang totoo:D.

kaya pala makakapal ang buhok ng mga hindi naghehelmet na MMDA, TMG, PNP atbp. Napansin ko kumapal din yung mga mukha nila.

Yup...I'm a dentist but we had medical subjects as well and its a fact that baldness is hereditary and wearing helmets dont cause baldness.

However, you might want to take into consideration that if you do not clean your helmet regularly - germs, fungus and bacteria formed from sweat and dirt may accumulate inside and may cause these symptoms on your scalp...itchiness which in turn may lead to baldness...nuff said

Yung officemate ko, laging nagpapakalbo dahil mahilig magmotor at masarap daw ang kalbo pag nakahelmet kesa sa may buhok, abala raw dahil nasisira ang hairdo at etc. etc. etc.

Basta ako, walang kinalaman ang helmet sa pagkabaldness ng rider huwag lang basa ang buhok at hehelmetan na. Dahil parang baseball cap yan eh, pag basa pa ang buhok mo tapos magsusumbrero ka kagad, talagang nakakakalbo yan, sabi yan ng mga nakakatanda at mga doctor sa clinic.

Ung helmet ko din haba na nang buhok, kapal pa at kulot. Malimit ko nga ahitin kaso makati. So di totoo ung nakakakalbo.
