i'm almost at the point of paying the downpayment (or earnest money) for my first big bike... a few loose ends hanging:

1. bike cover- i think i'll need a bike cover... san ba banda yung access plus? any other places i can get it? nasa how much? is it easily foldable that i can tuck it at the fairing of the bike kapag bumibyahe??

2. safety equipment - i already have a phoenix jacket, phoenix gloves and an hjc cl14 helmet.... i would like to get protectors (back, spine, kidney) ... nasa magkano ba ang price nito? although the fit of the phoenix is just right.. i'm not sure if it would still fit me if i wear all the additional protectors.... nasa magkano din ang knee protector? shin guard? boots? i'm 5'6", weigh more than 230lbs (kinda hard to get a good fit ) ... are there any low cut / mid cut / high cut (as in parang basketball type shoes) na boots available? my calves are quite big and i'm not sure if there would be boots that would fit my feet AND calves :) if ever i plan to upgrade on the helmet.. which is the best buy? most probably joy rides around manila lang yung bike... however i would also like to experience being on a long ride to infanta :) since i already have a helmet / jacket / gloves what would you suggest i get next (in order of priority)?

3. maintenance - think i need to screen some good mechanics / maintenance shops real soon... i live in the binondo area... do you know any good mechanics near the area? may napapansin ako na parang may repair shop ata dyan sa may abad santos (almost near R. Papa, malapit na sa Rizal Ave. Ext. papuntang Grace Park).. lots of bikes there (i assume are being repaired) although i'm not sure if anyone here has tried them already... any other places?

answers to these questions would really help in my decision to get that bike.

thanks a lot!

I suggest you get used with your bike first before trying Infanta. Try Tagaytay and Batngas trips first. Also get used to your bike around the city. After a month or two, you're ready for infanta!

Bharok if not the best is one of the best mechanics around. He's in the boundary of Pasay and Makati though... but he's worth your trip and money. But... I think he's offering Home Service now. His contact details is in the "Mechanics" section.

Cheers!

Sir Wowiesy, where in Binondo are you?
I'm also in the area, if you want, you can join our rides.
I sometimes ride with the NAKED BOYS using Big bikes 400cc or sometimes bigger displacements, lalo na kapag quikie rides lang.
If you prefer riding without pressure, just like riding a whole day with no rush, you can try riding with us the Team-=THROTTLE=-unlimited, we rode different kinds of bikes, from 50cc to 1300cc displacements, safe riding lang.
